I’m changing my vote. I would extend neither but if I had to choose it would be Andrews. Brown is great and I love him but I agree with the prices and worth vs ROI. If we could, I would even entertain trading Brown. Hear me out now but if a team with a huge need at LT missed out on their first round target and it’s before day 2 and the Ravens have their eyes on a few RT options in the 2nd or 3rd I would go and trade Brown if we could get a 2021 2nd or 3rd round pick and a say 2022 1st or 2nd round pick with potentially some 2021 day 3 picks. For example before someone says that’s unrealistic, I’m talking these kind of offers

Option 1: 2021 3rd & 4th round picks plus 2022 1st round pick
Option 2: 2021 2nd & 4th round picks plus 2022 2nd or 3rd

slightly different situation obviously because trent williams was trying to force his way out and there was a broken relationship there - but only bringing it up because it's the only recent example i could come up with

but he netted a 2020 3rd and 2021 5th and that was it

I had changed my vote a while back. Just feel it is much harder to find a top TE than it is a RT. I'm signing Mark Andrews all the way and I'm not taking yesterdays game into play or money.

Just saying that is the kind of trade that would make me part with him. Not saying it would happen but if there’s a desperate enough team it could. I don’t remember but what did HOU give up for Tunsil? Obviously also different scenario but slightly similar. It’s all about current value though. If a team came with that offer you said it would be a flat no from me.

To be fair, he’s had a lot of drops man yesterday’s game is only a microcosm of it.

His drops have been overblown, a lot of “drops” are only drops because Lamar is comfortable forcing tight window throws to him and dbs get paid too, he also makes a shit ton of those catches.

Perhaps, some of them were tough catches but I remember quite a few drops that should’ve been catches. I don’t think he’s terrible by any means but he’s got work to do there without question.

it's mostly fans over-reacting to a few drops/incompletions in critical situations (a couple of times when he's been playing through injury too like the Titans int in the 2019 playoffs)

i posted somewhere the drop leaders at TE and he didn't even feature in the top 15 (wasn't on the list)

his drop rate is actually not particularly high - but we just have a memory of some important moments where he dropped the ball or a defender managed to force the incompletion and it causes us to forget that they're actually not that common at all

And it feels like they all happen in the same game so they get magnified even more. I remember that Seahawks game a couple of seasons back where it felt like he put everything that came his way on the ground, but those drops probably accounted for most of the season total... all in one game. I don't think this year was too dissimilar, either.

He did have drops, but not an outrageous number, or even percentage of drops, it was just magnified because he’s the guy we target in red zone and 3rd down situations so those drops really stick to your brain

Andrews very well may have gotten around concussion protocol in that Seattle game, early on when he made that big catch he smashed his head and he got up wobbly and went to the sideline and never looked the same the rest of the game.

I think it was also raining quite steadily if I remember correctly, so all of the things went wrong.

Could definitely be a magnified memory issue where they happen in a specific game or games and it feels like it is more than it is. I’m not watching film here to find out, just going off memory. Could definitely be wrong, I still think he can definitely improve catching the football though. The best thing about him is he at least doesn’t go down immediately like Pitta would. If he can get his hands up there he’ll be right with Kelce imo

You aren't kidding about not going down. Love Heap and Pitta and what they brought to the team, and know it was mostly for injury reasons, but it was so terrible watching them catch and fall immediately.

In an already bad passing offense, you're asking me to choose between his best weapon or someone who was basically replaced by a rookie last year. I'm going with Andrews.

100% - he has a tendency to not always come up big when we need him so there's clear room for improvement
i just think the idea that it's an "issue" is a bit over-blown

just something he needs to improve on in important moments if he wants to be considered up there in the top 2 or 3 TEs in the league

Eh I’d say it’s an issue if it happens in big games. I mean, you need your playmakers to make big plays in big games. Some of the drops are Lamar, some were straight up in Andrews’ hands and he dropped them. I don’t think he had a great game against BUF did he? (No sarcasm btw lol)

It was infuriating how they would immediately go down. I loved how Andrews would fight for yards and Boyle too. Those guys are both dogs.
