Most experts didn't see star potential in Stroud or Daniels and they just had the two best rookie QB seasons since Marino. Lamar, Mahomes and Allen weren't the first QBs in their drafts.

QB is so hard to predict that I think you've just got to take one you think is good and hope it turns out better than that.

I didnt do much reading on Stroud so I dont know but I saw a LOT of love for Daniels. It was a popular hipster position to actually think the Bears should take him number 1 instead.
