2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

At my previous job anytime I typed "m" on the search bar, the first proposal was Mockdraftable.com/jalen-coker that's when I knew I needed help.
I remember looking at walterfootball mock drafts every few days when they uploaded a new one and holy shit they sucked

He worries me a little since he feels like a player that should be better and more consistent than what he actually was during college. But I could see Minter turning him into a really good 3 tech on the line.

Doesn't look like more than day 2 pick. Good run defender.

i really want to like him more as the most realistic 3T at the top of the class

but i just can't get there - doesn't look explosively powerful enough and doesnt show enough consistent wins in the pass game for me to project that at 14th overall

if he turns into an elite nfl player, Clemson should fire their DC because that defensive system really limited the opportunities that some of these "elite" prospects had

it does feel like every year though that there's a bunch of mega-hyped Clemson freaky DL going into the season, and then they always seem to fall down the board in their final college season - a consistent theme

I know his tape isn't perfect and there is lots for him to work on. But in the case of Caleb Banks my brain is saying screw the analytics for a minute, just draft a guy who is absolutely massive and can really move.

Then I watch the tape again and I'm like nah, not at 14.

a lot of players in this class that i constantly want to go back to the tape with new eyes and hope i see that flash that will make me buy in
but so many of them just arent what they're being billed as

it's just not a good 3T class

but it's a good looking NT class

It's not a class with many elite players, if any at all; many will be solid with the right training.

And some young, unconventional players who need development

It’s not quite Covid year levels of bad but yeah, not a thrilling class by any means

those covid classes were still very talented at the top
it's just that the bottom of those classes disappeared quickly on day 3 in terms of depth of the class

i think there's more "elite" prospects in this class vs last year which was definitely a down year in terms of upper tier talent
but i think it's similar to 2024 and maybe deeper at the top than 2023

the top 2-3 picks might not be as good as some other years, but the cut-off of "top 10" talents seems to be fairly in line with a normal year

is that ever? or just 1st round picks?
because there's 2 other EDGEs in this class alone with shorter arms than him

This is of course what mockdraftable has available.

Since 1999, only Nate Williams, undrafted in 2013, (30 5/8) and Sutton Smith, 6th round in 2019, (30 3/4) have shorter arms.

Tyree Johnson, undrafted in 2022, has the same length arms.

Everyone else is at 31” or longer. Definitely an anomaly. We might have a shot!!

Banks at NT and Travis Jones moving over to 3T would be interesting.
