2026 NFL Draft General Discussion

i wouldnt want to give up a lot
and i think the cost when you're that high up in the order is pretty prohibitive...

vikings gave up a 4th and a 5th for a 6th to move up from 11 to 10
eagles gave up a future 4th to move up 1 spot from 10 to 9
eagles gave up a 4th and 2 5ths to move up from 15 to 13
saints gave up a 3rd and a 4th to move up from 16 to 11

i'd be ok giving up a 4th but not sure i'd want to give up a 3rd rounder and based on the charts that would only get the ravens up from 14 to 10
I wouldn't mind a 4th & 3rd but wouldn't love it, either. I see your point, but I think it just depends on what we think will be there, too. We're not a single player away, but depending on FA, we could be close where trading up for that pass rusher is worth it. A 3rd & 4th may be fine. The board will dictate that IMHO

preliminarily im looking at around 16 1st round grades this year (obviously havent seen all the tape yet, no all-star practices, no official measurements or testing etc.) i've got 7 of those grades right now as top 10 - have a feeling some of those might slip

to me that suggests that we won't need to trade up to get a premier talent (relative to the class) - it just might not be at the position we'd choose if we could - maybe it's sonny styles or maybe it's makai lemon

Do you think Lemon makes it past KC? He also reminds me a lot of Zay.

2 years in a row now where everyone thought it would be a good QB class, but nearly all of those guys underperformed and/or stayed in school.

Got some guys you can take a chance on in the mid rounds but it’s a shitty QB class for sure.

i think part of that was guys who stayed in school and people assumed they would improve and they didnt
and also arch manning underperforming the hype initially and clearly needing at least another year

but ive seen guys like nate tice talk about how the grades on manning and sellers are higher than moore right now

on the plus side that should mean it actually is a good QB draft next year with now 3 guys who may well be viable top 10 pick type guys potentially available

the fact that Trinidad Chambliss might genuinely be the 2nd best QB in the class (if his appeal fails) is ridiculous

he's fun isnt he!
Yea he moves really good to be that size! I also like the guy from georgia state. He also like 6”3 run good routes and really good hands. Great redzone threat too. He may need work with his release though, looks like he does waaaaay to much

Feels like your at 'what's your flavor' for QB too. Probably things to like with guys like Chambliss, Beck, Klubnik, Simpson, Allar, Mateer, and probably a couple of other guys too. Just nothing about any of them that screams NFL.

We all thought Kyle Hamilton was going top ten too last time we were here. Although, the positions hint of that not working out in our favor again.

Bain and Bailey are my dream picks, with a DC who lets Green, Beeks and Jones hunt.

There’s a difference between safety falling and edges. Positional value. Only EDC ignores it. lol

Keldric Faulk is one I can see any of the defensive focused coaching candidates fall in love with. Saleh in particular would probably see him being similar to Deforest Buckner. I could see him sliding to us if he doesn't test well, but it's a 50/50 shot at best.

Hurst is one of the next one's on my list but i havent watched him yet

but really big fan of Tyson

they can fall in love with them all they want
if we pick him at 14 i'll be livid

Get the Faulk out of here with Faulk, huh?

Glad to see I’m not the only one out on Faulk.Run-stopping DEs have their place but not for me at 14. He’s also not really a Saleh guy even if he’s playing inside. I would love to see him go ahead of us but I know that’s incredibly unlikely

If he makes it to the 2nd round pick, sure I’ll take a 20 year old in a grown man’s body who can play at least 2 downs for me in year 1

But I can’t take the risk he never develops pass rush in R1 (especially top 20) but happy to take that chance in R2 given the physical tools and run defence tape

Yeah in round 2, that’s a totally different conversation and if he’s there he’s too good of a player to pass up on. He’s nearly elite at stopping the run but I just think he doesn’t offer enough as a pass rusher to be in contention for a top 20 pick.

why does that ruin my day?
right now i've got lemon as a top 7 player on my board...
Lemon is pretty good, do you think though he’s better than Zay? Or that we could let Zay walk if we get Lemon? I feel like he does a lot similar to Zay.

Downs to NYG would make a lot of sense if Harbaugh wants to replicate his own Hamilton.

I like Lemon, but I was more so referencing who was picked after him/who we passed up…

Do you have Lemon ranked higher than Arvell?
