The Andrews, the Defense, and the Blocking

Yep. I think it was either St. Brown or Gibbs who mentioned the 2023 game. They said the offense was tired in the 2nd half because we were simply the more physical team. Going into the game, they said they needed to match the physicality (or be even more physical than us).

Again, I'm not letting Orr off the hook, but when your front-7 is getting beat like a drum at the LOS, what is a coordinator supposed to do? Blitzing isn't gonna work unless you time it perfectly and even then, they have a number of playmakers that'll make you pay for it.
Yep it’s a straight up good team. Playmakers all over that offense that can take advantage.

And a premier pass rusher that makes everything else go on defense.

So we just tank the year and get a top 5 pass rusher? No way we getting one in the mid to late first. We aren't ever going to get a premier pass rusher due to where we pick normally.

I think Green is showing signs despite what the stats say - both individual and team. He’s not a Garrett or Hutchinson or Parsons but I feel like he can develop into a number one option there.

Mike Green has been disappointing, I don’t even know what number he is yet and refuse to learn it until he makes me notice

A lot of weird positives today tho:
Bateman is back
Andrew's is back 100% and I think today was huge for his confidence
Justice hill looked great
Tez walker might actually be a threat
Dhop and Lamar have a good connection

Run defensive oddly held up great on some plays early, we got a ton of penetration esp against Gibbs. Detroit has the best run game in football, I'm not too devastated. We all knew they would run on us like that, we only lost because we couldn't stop any of the many 3+ 4th and shorts we faced passing

I dnt even think that would help orr
How much "help" does Orr need to figure this out? We have given him a great talented defense with multiple pro bowls and All Pros. We keep investing in the defense, and yet nothing changes. No turnovers, no sacks, just like the playoffs and guess who's getting turnovers? Our opponents. They are the ones knocking the ball out, they are the ones catching interceptions, they are the ones creating pressure and getting sacks. We aren't doing any of those, which is why we haven't won a Super Bowl with Lamar yet. It's now carried into the regular season........ we are in trouble.

Chuck pagano is truly our only hope. We didn't win any pass rushes today. Lions line is good, but guess what mahomes and the bills will scramble all day. Without a dc change + either a significant upgrade to gaurd or pass rusher I have no faith

Maybe this year we make the playoffs if both lines were at mediocre levels. Without Madubuike, I doubt D line can get there and I've given up on O line.

Who put clamps on Zay?

And what the fuck is going on with Henry??? He'll end up in a dog house.
