Short week, big opportunity for us. It sounds like Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase are bound to return, so the records can be thrown out. Although Tee Higgins did suffer a significant concussion and is staring down an inactive spot. They do have an underrated reserve in Mitchell Tinsley. But perhaps the biggest point of emphasis has been the revival of their rushing attack.
Since Week 6, the first start for the field-stretching Joe Flacco, Chase Brown has compiled 466 rushing yards on 5.8 YPC, with 4.0 after contact per attempt, and 18 forced missed tackles. Coupled with the receiving yardage, he's currently putting up over 100 scrimmage yards per contest over the past 6 weeks. All of these numbers are near the top of the league in that span. We will need our LBs to continued their strong efforts to make them more one dimensional.
The rushing attack was also bolstered today via offensive line changes. Dalton Risner was helping pave the path for Cincinnati today. Defensively, DJ Turner II has had one of the better years of any CB. Whether or not Trey Hendrickson plays is likely to be one of the biggest factors for the consistency of our offense. With Lamar Jackson struggling with cutting, Henderson could have himself a day if Ronnie Stanley is left on an island and has a poor showing. Thankfully, there isn't much pass rushing prowess outside of Henderson. They were a bit better today against the run with the involvement of NT McKinnley Jackson, but they have pain points on both sides of the ball. Whatever we're favored by, I see this as a 60-40, 55-45. A fast start would be critical in helping to avoid turning this game into another nail-biter.
