The Shutout, the Running Game, and the Injuries

If they don't run the table it means they weren't going to do anything in the playoffs anyways.
I need to do some digging on the tiebreakers, but I'm somewhat confident that the Ravens don't need to win out in order to win the division if PIT wins tonight.
If PIT beats Miami and loses to DET, and we beat NE, I believe the week 17 games are meaningless for both teams. Both would be 8-7, with neither being able to clinch.

NE and PIT are critical wins for the Ravens. GB I think is still TBD. The only way that comes becomes more important is if Miami beats PIT tonight.

Sucks on Teddye (what's with the sci-fi spelling on Ted there?). He was having a phenomenal season. That said, Simpson was playing well this season, really seemed to have turned the corner and is a great physical specimen himself. Buchanan beat him out by playing on a very special level.
I think Simpson has played well this season but it hasn't necessarily been a traditional ILB role. They used him quite a bit on the edge. I think we're certainly going to see a drop off in play at the ILB spot but I also expect you'll see more dime and things of the like to counteract that loss.

You’re correct, if Steelers lose their next 3 and we beat NE and GB we clinch tho. But we really just need to win 1 of the next two. If we only beat Pitt we need them to lose 2 games, but we win all tiebreakers at 8-9

Is something wrong with burrow? seems like he got something mentally going on

O-line and injuries have affected the way he moves around the pocket and his timing. You could sprinkle in not having Higgins come down with "overthrown" balls

Correct. My post was assuming PIT wins tonight. If they lose tonight, it opens up a shit ton more scenarios.

But the Pats game is critical either way. There's just scenarios where the GB game means very little.

yeah we can back in, but let's be honest, if they are actually going on a playoff run it has to come together right now, consistently, through december.

It seemed like he was playing well first month of the season as the starter inside and I at least was surprised to see him get benched. Then we saw what Buchanan was doing and kudos to the coaches for breaking what wasn't broken. I've got confidence in Simpson, especially for a short span.

The again, now that we got depth at EDGE, safety and slot, watch Kyle f'ing Hamilton ball out at ILB!

Even if they had beaten us they pretty much had zero chance to make the tournament. Add into that all of his injuries, and getting smashed by our D, probably was crushed mentally.

Other than Brad Allen getting bumped by Ronnie Stanley and acting like he just got annihilated, shout out to the refs today for not falling for any of that pussy ass bullshit flopping the Bengals were doing all day.

A welcomed sight after that officiating shit show last week.

tbf when he fell over i was sure he was about to eject stanley lol
the fact they only called one personal foul and it was on ossai was good reffing lol

Doesn't really matter. SB year we were 1-4 in December. Week to week league.
Except Ray came back and we had Ed and a bunch of other veterans who willed the team, and Flacco had an historic playoff run. This current team with all its woes and poor coaching just doesn’t scream “contender” to me

I agree with your point though

Think we're definitely overselling their impact by a good bit. It's nice and all, but that team was led by a lot of veterans who stepped up and played well that didn't before. Some of those guys got nice fat contracts the next year, and others got shipped to Houston and were irrelevant after.

We got the GOAT adarius back
