Coaching Carousel 2026

The biggest problem with Weaver in my eyes is that he's not going to offer you much from a gameplanning point of view that gives an edge. He's often been lauded for his leadership ability but he's not some schematic genius and the results of his two play calling stints have not been great. It's basically swapping one CEO-type for another.
His own players in Miami said they had no idea what he was saying and didn't understand the defense

Man, Bowels must have something on the ownership. They basically firing everyone but him. On a side note, Charlie Strong would be a good pick up for DL coach.

@Simba I'm sure you and your guy are getting a kick out of these reports lol. Pretty sure the owner can do whatever he wants no matter what the rest of his front office thinks.
I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I know everything, because I absolutely do not. But the wide variance in these reports says all it needs to say. That Gary Myers guy from NY seems to be very pro-Harbaugh and I'm not sure it's hard to figure out why...

If we hire Mike McDaniel, it needs to be as Head Coach. We know he'll be gone within a year of he's just an OC. I like the idea of Mike McDaniel as our coach now that's he available. It be funny if we essentially just traded coaches with Miami, we hire Mike and they hire John.

McDaniel would be a better pairing with the Giants than here IMO. Those cocky young dudes should mesh well.

What I'm looking for is

1. Get their toughness back on both sides of the ball.
2. An offensive play caller who knows how to cook. Lamar is a rhythm guy, dudes who call the sheet no matter what not wanted. Don't sleep on the grey beard OC's that could be available. Brian Daboll would be a nice fit here.

When you think about it the biggest issues on this team, especially in the playoffs, is the Defense not creating turnovers and making it difficult for opposing offense followed by the special teams constantly getting pinned back

Lions reached out to Mike McDaniel for their OC vacancy. Saleh/Flores with McDaniel as OC for us please
