So, they have a deal with Minter to leave him alone for playoffs and then just bring him in to sign the contract once Chargers season is over with.

18 years old with a good head coach such as John Harbaugh gives a owner a good idea what he's looking for in the next head coach . What Biscotti was as the owner in 2008 is likely isn't the same now in 2026. Whatever decision he makes will likely be sound and good decision. He has learned that you can't always go with the lost flashiest coach to win and maybe this time his head coach pick will be flash but that head coach has to be special beyond scheme and systems that we all get googly eyes for
Fair points...

rapsheet did report that the ravens were expected to request an interview with minter fwiw

in terms of other guys id expect them to look at... somewhat surprised they're not looking at mike mcdaniel at all (so far) albeit he's only been available since thursday

other playoff involved coaches they might be interested in:
Mike LaFleur, OC, Rams (albeit the fact they didnt request him when they requested Shula and Scheelhaase suggests they're not bothered about him)
Ejiro Evero, DC, Panthers
Anthony Campanile, DC, Jags
Jeff Hafley, DC, Packers

also randomly seen some rumours floating around about Marcus Freeman not being as unavailable as he said he was

If he keeps it up he's gonna be king in that town... but I have heard they would like to at least talk to Cignetti too

Going from Harbaugh to someone like Cignetti who says "I Win, Google Me" would be too much.
It has good points and not-so-good points, but it's good that they ask questions.

I don't suspect that Cignetti is interested in moving to the NFL at this stage, and I don't even think talking to him would be a formal interview. He's received rave reviews for the culture he's created at all of his stops though, and I'd want to at least poke around and see what he can offer even if just a consulting type of meeting. And if he is interested, well hey, maybe you've got a somewhat outside of the box candidate.

I totally agree, at least ask.

Give me Saleh over Minter and it’s not particularly close

I think Saleh has moved up to my number one choice. Look how injured the 49ers are and they still are very competitive and winning games. Look at how we lose one guy and it seems our defense falls apart. Look at how many guys the 49ers have lost and they haven't fallen apart when they should.

Saleh, Kubiak or Mike McDaniel.

I think that is really the biggest thing, it seems like we needed everything perfect on our defense for it to be passable and he is working with everything going wrong and finding ways to get good performance out of guys.

Saleh is pretty incredible but it is entire team playing really hard, no matter who is up. Top coaching all around.
That dude knows what coaching should look like. I dont blame him for thr jets and I dont blame Flores for Miami. But I really belive Saleh can be the face Steve is looking for. Help us get back to a team that:

Closes out games
Lowers the PPG needed to win
Helps in the field position battle
Helps us win TOP

For awhile now we've been so willing to give up long drives that end in TDs. And if that's not bad enough, we've been absymal at the end of 2nd and 4th quarters which have directly lost us games we were winning.
