Coaching Carousel 2026

I agree on your top 3. Even with my hesitation around McDaniel. you can't deny he is super creative and makes guys stand out. Webb is a guy who is interesting. At first glance, you wonder why he is even here. Don't get me wrong, I won't count out anyone but he is very much a surprise guy to me.
Webb seems like one of the guys on the fast track. Apparently he's genius-ish just in everyday life, and I'm sure that's translating well to the coaching ranks.

Apparently Davis Webb’s interview with Vegas was “phenomenal”. Going to be a tough decision between him, McDaniel and Kubiak (if we go the offensive route).

When I read that the Bills wanted Webb to be their QB coach while a third string QB on the roster, I was pretty sold if he becomes the HC. Or OC. That's pretty special.

And firing Harbaugh has been the second time I've ever been truly excited about a personnel move. The most excited was when we drafted Lamar.

Don’t think oweh’s learned anything new in the few weeks he’s been a charger - more likely this is a product of scheme and usage

Which is still a valid concern to have but probably more of an Orr concern than a chuck smith one…
Oh i agree! We all know orr was the problem though but i just had to blame someone else.. however, i have yet to see an edge rusher actually develop into something here

Webb seems like a hot candidate. It does kinda freak me out how he has no coordinator experience and just emerged from nowhere. He is also from the Payton coaching tree, so that could be kinda cool. It would certainly be different.

gonna talk to the football gods tonight.. let me know who yall want as HC out of minter, flores and klint.. rest of those guys dont even matter

I’m not counting him out at all. I feel like we will almost have to give him the HC gig. That does give me pause but if he’s that good maybe it is a good idea. His references seem solid and he has a lot of buzz. He could be the next McVay or he could be just the hot hand atm.

I trust the org to do what’s right. We saw this work out with Harbaugh in a similar approach. I actually think Webb could be underrated due to his background and his coaching family.

SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!!!! My head is going to explode trying to figure out who I want now lol. The combos of some of these guys are mouth-watering.

McDaniel was rated extremely highly as a HC on those anonymous player report cards the past couple of years. Please, Steve

This blurb from Yahoo really turns me on:

“It is rare for an NFL head coach to be fired and immediately walk into a better situation with his next team. That is exactly the position Mike McDaniel would be in if he becomes the next Baltimore Ravens’ coach. He would go from the limitations of orchestrating an offense quarterbacked by Tua Tagovailoa to building one around two-time NFL MVP and future Hall of Famer Lamar Jackson. It could allow him to return to the passing game efficiency that Miami saw in 2023, when it averaged 8.3 yards per attempt (second in the NFL), while utilizing a dual-threat quarterback who could further unlock his rushing scheme led by Derrick Henry.

Additionally, McDaniel could bring Dolphins’ defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver Jr. with him. It would be a return to Baltimore for Weaver, who was passed over for Zach Orr when the Ravens needed to replace Mike Macdonald. As the Ravens’ head coach, McDaniel would have a shot at competing for the Lombardi Trophy over the next two or more years. This would be an A-grade hire for Baltimore and a perfect pairing for both.”

I'm not entirely opposed to McDaniel as HC (though he wouldn't be in my top 2-3 choices), but I have zero interest in just bringing the Miami coaching staff to BAL. I'd want a different DC than Weaver.

100% get that
