Coaching Carousel 2026

My only guess is that it is very player friendly and not overly complex. Feels like a step back to me but like you said, what do I know?

Happy to be proven wrong but my understanding of Kingsbury and his scheme is that he’s pretty rigid about what he likes and how he uses guys within his offence

Also feels like we need much more of a personnel change with his offence vs the shanahan disciple offensive systems

With his spread/air-raid stuff you’re looking at OL upgrades to be able to go 5 man protections and you’re looking at 3-4 WRs that you’re happy with in the rotation and that’s not the personnel we have right now

When I say player friendly, I more mean the complexity… or lack thereof. Not a lot of crazy schematic disguise or any of that stuff.

Shit. It’s been down in the 40s in St Pete.

Mid 30's in Fort Myers had to turn on the defrost to get the ice of the windshield.

Upgrade the OL you say. Bring in Kliff

Really curious who the staff will be

J-Mint

Fuck it, Lamar will do Lamar things. Let’s get back to some physical fucking defense

I still would've preferred Kubiak but whatever. Get ready to learn Kliff Kingsbury as our OC, I guess.
I mean if he wants to go pass heavy and builds an elite offensive line I’m all fucking for it lol

In terms of OC options...

Kliff Kingsbury's been the name everywhere
I wonder if Joe Brady's a real option too

would be surprised if it's someone with no playcalling experience in the NFL unless they're completely enamoured with one of Davis Webb or Nathan Scheelhaase...

i think i still feel like if we'd gone with kubiak, i would have preferred to just go with Mike McDaniel

ultimately we picked the guy on the market who is the biggest schematic difference maker on either side of the ball in this cycle - and bonus, he has comfort within the organisation

It feels weird having a new head coach

I think they didn't want to run the risk of them making/winning bowl and the uncertainty
