Apparently Mike McDaniel is being interviewed by the Bills today. Likely explains why he committed to LAC but hasn’t yet signed.

Guess that kills the outside hope he would come here as OC

I’ve heard NOTHING about potential DC other than Dennard Wilson. Whoever it is I think it’ll just be a disciple of Mike Mac who minter would be on the same page with on gamedays. A guy who can either talk to the defense on the sideline while minter manages the game, or an eye in the sky(booth) to give minter another perspective.

I doubt minter is gonna be looking to hire a well seasoned DC.

Rumors on DC are Dennard Wilson and that would be really good. Our DBs were humming when he was here in 2023.

Would Klay Kubiak be considered a lateral move if the Ravens were to give him play calling duties?

That's unclear if San Francisco could block the move. He's not calling plays in San Francisco, so it would be nice for Shanahan to allow him to move on if he were requested. That being said, I doubt he is going to be the guy.

I like the hire, but I’m more interested in his OC/DC hires. Especially OC. We had way too much talent on O for the results that were produced under Harbs.

they are two faced. In one situation they say I don't want a Harbaugh guy, but then turn the tables and say we should have hired Mike Macdonald two years ago.

Also if the reports are true that the players and LJ want Kliff Kingbury then the chance of getting Mike McDaniel wasn't likely. Now it's possible the ravens could get some one like Anthony Lynn or Bobby Slowik that comes from that similar offensive scheme background to support Kliff if he's hired

Real talk though... it's hard not to see this defense getting drastically better. We're certainly much weaker at some spots (looking at you, pass rushers) but the overall talent on our defensive side of the ball is better than LAC. Minter had a lot of mid to late round picks stepping up and playing some really good ball, so it's fun to think about what he's going to be able to do at some of those spots with more premium players.

I'd almost be willing to bet that both Starks and Green look significantly better this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if Minter goes the Macdonald route with an old head former HC that can be that ear to bend. MM has Leslie Frazier in Seattle with him now as a pure AHC.
