I was thinking that it was probably lucky for the NFL that Garrett did that in Cleveland and not in Pittsburgh, because it could have gotten real ugly with the fans. I also know that the law says that a police officer can make a warrantless arrest for aggravated assault, so technically Garret could have left the stadium in handcuffs.

What was motherfucking Garrett doing with the late hit, twisting Mason's body and pinning him to the ground 8 seconds before the end of the game his team is winning 21-7?
Was Rudolph supposed to cry like a little bitch?
McGinest can go fuck himself, together with everybody else supporting his stance.
 
The kind of stuff that originally happened with Garrett and Rudolph is pretty commonplace, especially between heated rivals. To somehow justify Garret ripping off his helmet and attacking him with it is biased and silly. It’s two completely different levels of action. It’s like saying the stabbing of the guy that butted in line at Popeyes was justified because he provoked it.

I don’t think anyone’s absolving Garrett of guilt at all - what they are doing is criticising the portrayal of Rudolph as this squeaky clean victim - it is possible for them both to have done wrong, them both being wrong is not mutually exclusive - the different levels of wrong obviously make a difference but Garrett doing something crazy doesn’t mean rudolph’s not an asshole (especially with the way he’s talked about the incident afterwards)

Rudolph is a prick as well in the Baker Mayfield mold except not as arrogant it seems to me after watching that whole episode several times over. He did provoke Myles Garrett and went after him when his helmet was yanked off by Myles. Rudolph is surely not without guilt but Myles Garrett was literally homicidal there for a bit.
How anybody can believe this crazy dude was actually punched by a fan and then walked away is beyond the pale. This guy went nuts and almost killed a man in plain view of 70,000 fans live and he would walk away from some guy punching him in the face? Give me a friggin' break! That may have been a story planted by the Browns or Garret or even his agent to soften the dirty player image that was building up.,,

tbf to garrett and lots of players who lose it on the field - lots of players almost create separate playing identities, especially those who like garrett are well-read and soft-spoken off the field - they literally change who they are when on a football field so i dont find it hard to believe that when away from a football field he would be able to restrain himself while absolutely having the red mist come over him on it

that being said im still not sure i believe that happened - but just putting it out there that many players do have this ability to split character and basically be 2 different people - an on-field persona and themselves off the field which they can switch to

completely separately because you mentioned baker - im not sure i believe that mason isnt more arrogant than baker - i really dont like the way rudolph carries himself - strikes me as the stereotype of a particular kind of person that i really dislike
 
I've always Viewed Yanda as someone who goes from Bruce Banner to Hulk Smash when the game clock is ticking. But he'd also never clock someone with their own helmet either.

I hadn’t seen anyone characterizing him as “squeaky clean”, guess I missed that. What Garrett originally did (late hit after the release) and Rudolph’s reaction, that kind of stuff happens every Sunday in the NFL, so why even talk about it is the point. Ripping off someone’s helmet and beating them on the head with it is not everyday NFL stuff. lol
