Because you could argue now was the time to capitalize on the last year or two of Stafford’s career to try to get a Super Bowl. That and McVay was clearly not on board

Ok, I haven't seen the mckay stuff, just assumed he was the guy that picked him.

I don't understand the hate on that pick at all. Stafford's 38. He's had back problems. The rams usually dont even take a 1st rdr. They took the Qb mcvay wants to start 2-3 yrs down the line. Might be my fave pick of the draft.
McVay was CLEARLY not happy with the pick.

I'm extremely happy Harbaugh is not the coach of this team. He's over the hill but was largely a very good coach here.

With that being said, I cant understand why Giants fans would be attributing blame to Harbaugh for their GMs picks? That makes no sense. Did we not just see the Rams make a pick their HC was furious about? Harbaugh didn't deaft those players. It's stupid really

I know someone thats getting drafted 2nd round.. possibly top 5. Idk if its too early or not but the mom dont even know. Im assuming if he is the first pick in 2nd rnd, the agent and player cant and wont say anything

A little late to the posting party as I got super drunk last night (have today off work too)

Super happy with how things turned out. Not only did we get a potentially elite player with all pro potential but all of our opps didn't do as well as they could have.

My buddy went to VT and and said mansloor is burnt toast esp against a guy like flowers. Browns got a great pick with KC and Fano is solid but not a game breaker like downs or others.

We are going to be so happy lemon didn't end up in Pitt, that guy is going to be an absolute stud I'm certain. He'd kick our asses for years. Instead they get a project tackle, hell yea

Not to mention our draft pick prevents Lamar from getting killed by dexy and Peter woods

Was low on lemon till i seen that the steelers wanted him lol. They never go wrong

I've been kind of lukewarm on him through the process but may have found myself turning a corner on Denzel Boston this morning. I've been privately preaching focusing on what a guy can do vs. what we can't do, and I think I was ignoring myself and focusing on the latter. He's not the big lumbering slow guy that I thought.

i think he's got enough wiggle and agility to him that he's not just pigeon-holed as an x-receiver/vertical fade contested-catch merchant

washington used him a ton motioning him to get him free releases as the slot or the z - but not because he can't beat press - he's one of the better receivers in the class vs press

good with his route pacing and tempo - fluid and efficient breaks
physical through the route to play through contact - and then gets good YAC with his physicality too
and does create separation

ironically his film is a great showcase for a WR because he gets open in the route and then has to win contested despite the separation because his QB is so shit

those are also all the reasons why i think he's going to be long-gone by 45 lol - to me he's clearly top 4-5 BPA at this point in the draft

He doesn't look lumbering or slow to me. He looks like weak and skinny. He reminds me SLIGHTLY of Quentin Johnston but less athletic. I'd hard pass on Boston.

doesnt play weak or skinny

physical through the route
beats press
wins in contested situations at a high rate

except harbs has final say in the NYG building - that was part of his negotiation, he wants control of the team-building
they very much are his picks

oh yeah i remember you saying you knew EMW
good prospect - if we didnt already have Hamilton, i'd be pounding the table for him at 45 if he possibly gets there
