The Win, The Outside Runs and The Weather

In the long run it's probably not the worst thing in the world to have to win a few close games. If we beat every team by 30+ all the way to (and including) the Super Bowl that'd make this year's Ravens the best team in NFL history by some way, which I don't feel like we are (no disrespect!) so it's nice to see us do exactly what we need to do in a genuine clash of titans.

This game is also proof that atrocious refereeing is rarely an excuse for a loss. A good team should be able to stand up after a bad call and we did just that.

That game truly was old school football. Something that hasn't been around in the nfl for quite a while. Was refreshing to watch even though I was stressed out like crazy.

I saw the Panthers lose to the Skins and Eagles to Fins. I said I'd take this win however we could get it. These guys have hearts of lions.

I agree with you. I hate the ref excuse thing

fred warner gave us the shits all day. that [profanity deleted] was in every passing lane.

i really worry that the niners showed something to the league, but at the same time they have the leagues best pass defense and whatever they did to stop our run could spell disaster for other defenses who arent as great at stopping the pass.

absolutely loved fred warner coming out in the draft - seemed like no one was really seeing him in the media at all until late in the process

but with regards to mekari - this was the absolute toughest situation to have your first start: against that defensive front, very little experience at centre before this year, and to top it all off the wet ball to deal with

On the bad side:

Marcus Peters had his worst game as a Raven - was at fault in both tds - the first he had position on a ball that was just thrown up for grabs and couldnt locate the ball or hit the receiver to stop him scoring and the 2nd was a pathetic attempt at a tackle

we all know he's not a physical corner but in this weather the conditions just exacerbated how bad he is as a tackler

I was so confused as to how that first td happened. Marcus looked like he was on a smoke break.

I honestly feel he might've still been on his high horse after the Rams game. He was really hype during that game and I feel like he came out flat this week. Just not the same energy

The adjustments came in late to stop the outside runs i.e spreading the DL. I'm not sure if Shanahan stopped running immediately after our adjustments.
But his poor clock management at the end of the 1st half took off 3 points.

All I'm saying is in the end we got an ugly w. But you gotta win those games to get to the sb.
