VERNON HARGREAVESDB, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT

Buccaneers waived CB Vernon Hargreaves.
Hargreaves' third quarter benching against the Cardinals was the last straw for the organization after he'd proven to be a massive bust as the No. 11 overall pick in the 2016 draft. Hargreaves had appeared in just 10 games coming into the season and, although he's been on the field this year, has been dog-walked for 41/591/2 and 10.5 yards per target as PFF's No. 112 corner among 116 qualifiers at his position in '19. The Dolphins are a likely candidate to claim him off waivers given their willingness to take chances on first-round pedigrees in a lost season.
This isn't correct as he played in more than 10 games in his rookie season and then 10 in 2017 and 2018.

TYLER LOCKETTWR, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Tyler Lockett (leg) was hospitalized after Week 10's game against the 49ers.
Lockett had a "pretty severe situation" due to swelling in his leg that threatened blood flow below his leg contusion. Coach Pete Carroll said, "We’re ahead of it so we should be in good shape", but this is obviously something to monitor during the Seahawks' Week 11 bye. If Lockett were to miss time, rookie DK Metcalf and the newly acquired Josh Gordon will be the top receivers while Jacob Hollister adds a pass-catching dimension at tight end. When healthy, Lockett is a boom-or-bust WR1/2.

NFL clubs were informed today that a private workout will be held for Colin Kaepernick on Saturday in Atlanta. Session will include on-field work and an interview. All clubs are invited to attend, and video of both the workout and interview will be made available to clubs.

Rapsheet also had it:

An opportunity: A memo went out to NFL team today saying that a private workout will be held for FA Colin Kaepernick on Saturday in Atlanta. The session will include both on-field work and an interview.

is the nfl finally turning the page?

More from Rapsheet:
Several clubs inquired as to Kaepernick’s football readiness and both him and his reps have frequently expressed his desire for him to return to the league. The NFL has arranged this opportunity for him to work out, and for all clubs to have the opportunity to evaluate him

I remember a time we looked at some of these backups and said Colin deserved a chance to be in the NFL. Now this season has shown why teams were confident in the backups they had.

Maybe Denver signs him if he isn't asking for too much? Broncos tried to acquire him before but he refused a pay cut negating the trade.

Backups are fine but there's few teams that should look at their starting QBs actually

yeah there's some teams that have decent backups and it's rewarded them - there's some teams who dont even have a good starter let alone good backup - now maybe he's been away from football too long but if he is still able to play like he was then he can still play in this league - his last stint he was able to play at a decent backup level which most teams would love to have - you telling me the texans would prefer aj mccarron or the colts brian hoyer or blake bortles on the rams or blaine gabbert on the bucs or mike glennon on the raiders or jeff driskel on the lions or matt schaub on the falcons or the cowboys/packers/vikings who have former college backups as their professional backups

that's not even starting with guys like trubisky who definitely shouldnt be starting right now either

Apparently, only 4.25 games can be flexed, that's the reason Ravens-Texans was not an option.

1PM games can be flexed to Sunday Night but it has to be announced 12 days in advance like this one is. Just again, the game is in LA and the NFL isn't going to remove the game from LA to go to Baltimore even if it is the better option.

For example, a game scheduled for a Sunday could move from a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff to an 8:15 p.m. start, but the change would be made and announced no later than the prior Tuesday, 12 days prior. Sunday afternoon games, as in the past, can still be moved between 1:00 and 4:05 or 4:25 p.m. ET.

By flexing Wk 12 Packers-49ers into Sun night, #NFL gets:
Seahawks-Eagles early
Cowboys-Patriots late
Packers-49ers prime time

Previously, SEA-PHI had been in the prime slot; GB-SF had been head-to-head vs DAL-NE in late slot.
