Around the NFL: News and Rumors

Confirmed - Carson Wentz tore his ACL.
What a blow. Hope he comes right out of this next year, he's become my favourite player in the NFL.

Eagles were presumptive favourites in the NFC even after their Seahawks loss - now the NFC is wide open - saints loss and panthers win gives the panthers a way into the division, Vikings and rams are heavyweights but have lost recently and the eagles are now down their franchise qb and falcons are inconsistent

I don't trust the Rams. Vikings and Panthers are the favourites now, I think but won't dismiss the Eagles either. If Foles can manage the game (he's done it before), they are still in with the shot. That's a good team in Philly.

Going into the game last week rams and eagles were the strongest 2 teams in DVOA - and while I’m not sure I trust the rams to get to the Super Bowl I think it’s hard to pick against them in any game

Eagles have to hope that foles is their keenum

As much as I hate the Eagles, I never wish an injury on anyone. I'll never forget the body bag game from 1990 though. Anyway, there's no love lost between these two teams.

The Body Bag Game was a Monday Night Football game that was played on November 12, 1990, between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins at Veterans Stadium. The Eagles defeated the Redskins, 28–14. Its nickname comes from the fact that nine Washington Redskins players left the game with injuries, and an Eagles player reacted to one of those injured Redskins by yelling, "Do you guys need any more body bags?"

No suspensions for what happened at the end of game in Jacksonville. So basically when you lose a game, you can try to injure players in victory formation. You can also try to jump the stands to attack fans and put innocent people at risk(even if fans throw stuff, you can't try to attempt to hurt them in any way). Bennett and Jefferson should have been suspended for the rest of the season.

Also it's a joke Bennett is the Seahawks' Representative for the Walter Payton Man Of The Year. He sure did look like "Man of the Year" trying to intently injure a Jaguars player at the end of the game, or lying about what actually happened in Vegas.

wait so the nfl not only didnt suspend them they essentially rescinded the ejections - those ejections came on the last 2 plays of the game - they should at least suspend them a game so that the ejection kind of counts - not sure they should be suspended the rest of the season but definitely should be suspended a game

Goodells complete and total lack of consistency is mind bottling.

So Marshall Faulk, Ike Taylor and Heath Evans have been suspended by NFL Network after a Sexual Harassment Lawsuit. Apparently the lawsuit was filed by a former NFL Network employee. She also named a former executive producer and the current president of Bill Simmons' Media Group.

Wow just looked up the suit and it names way more people than just those 4 - it was only a matter of time before the nfl got its day in the sexual assault/harassment light - always seemed weird that the nfl had avoided that scandal for so long since the “revolution” started

Pats sign Kenny Britt. Of course they do.
I’m soooooo pissed. He’s going to light it up. This was his plan all along.

“I’m gonna make the Browns pay me a boat load of money, not try at all, get cut in the middle of the season, then go to the Super Bowl champs.”

GENIUS
