Around the NFL: News and Rumors

The Bills have released WR Andre Holmes and WR Kelvin Benjamin.

Wow... don't think anyone saw this coming.

Unfortunately I don’t have a source. It’s possible the friend heard it wrong

Oh ok. Just checking, thanks.

Lets say this was true, what type of offense would he want? Majority of the offenses today he doesn't fit. I think the only offense that would have worked was ours, but his girlfriend/fiancee ruined that for him.

Yes, he’d want our offense

Here, Seattle, Carolina probably

In regards to Hunt, I'm 100% with Shannon this:

I’m with him because it should be the case that all those other professions he listed should operate the same way

I do think the public role of football players leaves them with a higher level of behaviour they need to conduct themselves with but in cases like this where violence is involved I think it should disqualify you from all those other careers he mentioned too

No way a doctor or a policeman etc. should be allowed to continue their career with violence in their background

Now I don't know what your stance on Vick is, but the fact that that man went to jail for doing what he did, showed remorse, turned his life around, and got to play again tells me that Hunt should get another shot at a later time. Perhaps you may think my stance is foolish, but that's my two cents. By the way, I understand your perspective.

Honestly anyone that says hunt should never play again just because of that bs is stupid af
I love how Jerry Jones of ALL PEOPLE is saying that the Cowboys have a zero-tolerance policy of domestic violence.

i mean i guess im for rehabilitation and restitution but only when the league takes the problem seriously - i dont trust the league to make sure these guys are changed/rehabilitated so i dont want them in the league

and that process if im honest should be a lot longer than 6 weeks

with the situation of the league and it's form on these issues i dont trust it to act correctly so id rather zero-tolerance over a hodge-podge of rehabilitation that completely undermines the idea of the concept

he may well get another chance but in an ideal world there would be a program there for him to earn that rather than just wait an ambiguous amount of time and then return

these guys dont deserve another chance though

I just can’t get over the fact that if it was a man he got into an altercation with, everyone would say “eh, whatever no big deal, they were intoxicated” and move on. He’d still have his job. If the girl sustained any injuries it’d be different. But this whole thing is just bullshit. And saying he doesn’t deserve a 2nd chance is just so fucking stupid I’m really sick of seeing that dumbass shit.

It aint even a case of DV lol

Irks me seeing people using that in their argument......

Redskins sign Josh Johnson because he played under Gruden at one time or another and knows the verbiage.

REALLY, that’s the excuse he is going to use. He hasn’t thrown a pass in a regular season game since I think 2011.

The Redskins are like that broke relative that comes with a quick rich scheme and you have to support him.
