Around the NFL: News and Rumors

Redskins sign Josh Johnson because he played under Gruden at one time or another and knows the verbiage.

REALLY, that’s the excuse he is going to use. He hasn’t thrown a pass in a regular season game since I think 2011.

The Redskins are like that broke relative that comes with a quick rich scheme and you have to support him.

When teams are trotting out Jeff Driskel(Bengals) and these other bum QBs, it does make you wonder if Kaep was right about collusion.

Lol, makes you wonder? There was never any doubt my friend. He won't be able to prove it though.

Redskins pretty much said hey, we cross the line at kneeling during the Anthem but charged with domestic violence not once, but TWICE? WELCOME HOME! What do I know, I mean it's small potatoes compared to kneeling.

Seahawks cancelled their workout with Kaep, drew the line at kneeling but facing jail time for insider trading? WELCOME HOME!

Teams are almost to the point of just giving Kaep a gun and pulling the trigger on his collusion case that would nail the NFL.

Damn

ESPN confirms Alex Smith's career in doubt

ESPN's Dianna Russini confirms there is "concern" that Alex Smith's leg injury will be career-ending.

Russini confirms 106.7 The Fan's Eric Bickel's report that Smith is dealing with an infection caused by "complications from multiple surgeries." Smith has remained hospitalized since his Nov. 18 injury. Brutal. Signed through 2022, Smith turns 35 next May. The Redskins thought they had the post-Kirk Cousins era taken care of, but it looks like they might be headed back to the drawing board.

Kelvin Benjamin visiting the Chiefs Thursday

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports free agent WR Kelvin Benjamin is visiting the Chiefs on Thursday.

Benjamin offered nothing but poor effort his 18 games with the Bills, but he did have two relatively successful seasons in Carolina before being traded. If he is motivated, he could be a solid and cheap depth signing for a team with Super Bowl aspirations like the Chiefs. Kansas City currently has Chris Conley and Demarcus Robinson behind Tyreek Hill and an injured Sammy Watkins.

Joe Flacco?

According to Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars will move on from Blake Bortles next year.

Something tells me they like a better Car(r) than what they are currently driving with.

Or maybe they can go for a QB who's been given Flac(co) by one of their star players.

We complain about Flacco’s contract, yet Carr got 125 and has been playing like crap....until the 4th qtr today. Thank you
