i dunno - the pats just gave up 2 qbs both of whom have shown starting calibre quality at the team they were traded to...
almost 10% of the league's starting qbs were on the pats roster at the beginning of the year

even more shocking is that likely 25% of playoff qbs were part of jeff fisher's qb room in 2016 (just shows how bad he was)
 
yet more jimmy g incredible-ness:
he's leading an offence of trash players to be potentially the most efficient offence in the league the last 3 games - he's doing it with scrubs at receiver and not much help from the running game

I’ve never liked the 49ers but I cant help but like Jimmy G so I think I’ve found another team to root for

if mccarron is smart he isnt going to cleveland because hell know that the new gm almost certainly does 2 things that would handicap him:
1) fire hue jackson and bring in his own guy (therefore no personal connection to the head coach)
2) bring in a rookie with the 1st pick (dorsey was essentially hired to do this one thing because otherwise you might as well have kept sashi brown - notice how all the browns best players have been brought in by sashi in the last 2 years)
 
Jimmy Garoppolo has more passing yards in his first three starts with the 49ers than Joe Montana & Steve Young combined (Jimmy G: 1,008, Montana 488, Young 470)

That’s not a fair comparison at all, but interesting stat none of the less.

I never compare teams from different eras like that.

I know you don’t mean it that way and that’s why I agreed it was an interesting stat. I loved and hated watching Montana play. All depended on who he was playing against.
 
Greg Zuerlein has been placed on i/r
likely means robbie gould goes to the pro bowl
more importantly zuerlein doesnt get to break the all-time points scored record this season
more importantly the rams lose an important element of their points scoring machine

Not really shocked. He’s been inactive for most of the season.

We should pick him up just in case we play the Steelers in the playoffs and let him get some revenge lol
 
Apparently, if a player is placed on IR without a new injury, there is a rule the team should release the player. Rodgers was IR'd and now teams are pissed. If I'm him, I'd push this and try to end up in Jax. That team with him at qb would be SCARY. Nothing will happen, but just interesting.
