Signings, Cuts, Trades

We gonna need much more than jusn jennings to win anything.. i like 3rd and juan but we gonna need more than that.. yea we fucked this season. Next season is where we gonna make our mark

Fix the OL. Make that a strength and we'll be fine if we stay healthy.

Let big Tez shine

My understanding of the current plans:

RB: Draft

WR: Considering both FA and draft. Market has been slower on certain guys in FA so they're considering capitalizing

TE: May add one more TE3 type for the minimum or so in FA, but largely draft

OL: Slow playing C but ready to strike if someone comes available (a la Elgton Jenkins). Largely going to be a draft thing but wouldn't be surprised if they add 1-2 more depth pieces via FA and make this a very open competition

DL: Considering both FA and draft

Edge: Looking to draft for the most part. If they add a veteran, it'll probably be much later in the offseason.

CB: Feel confident in a few guys in the mid rounds

P: Probably using a late pick

Maybe I'm being pessimistic but it look like they don't give a damn about OL from this breakdown unless I'm interpreting wrong.

Do you get the feeling they would they use the 1st pick on OL?

Jennings would be a huge upgrade over Bateman, that’s for sure

Only thing that surprises me here is that they don't feel the urgency to add a Corner earlier in the draft. Still think that's a viable option in the 1st or certainly on day 2. I have a lot more confidence in their ability to find competent Oline, RB and TE later in the draft. I would think your top 3 picks, in some order, would be between Center, pass rusher, WR and Corner.

Idk why man but Hendrickson feels so underwhelming to me. I guess I just saw Crosby as such a perfect fit here that everything else disappoints. I just love the way Crosby plays ball, I think he’s the 2nd best edge in the league after Garrett, idc about the metrics I just know what I see when I’m watching the game, nobody is impacting games as much as Crosby, he’s got once in a lifetime energy and motor, he’s so good at slipping and sliding his way to the ball carrier and refusing to let blocks slow him.

Such a fucking shame about his knee man. Even after thinking on it all day I still would take Crosby minus 2 firsts over what we’re doing now, without question, but if his knee is as bad as it sounds then I get why we’re doing this. Hendrickson should be able to get us sacks, but Crosby is a crunch time guy, put him in a big moment on a competitive team and he’s the guy that can take it over for 4 snaps and call game, because everyone is tired from playing all night and maxx plays like he’s just getting started, Trey might be in the former group.

I’m just disappointed. That was the most excited I’ve been as a ravens fan since 2019
I feel the same way. If this guy balls out the next few years EDC fucked up. It is interesting tho that no one is lining up to trade tho, allegedly

Since 2021, Trey is second in the league in 4th quarter sacks. Sexy.

I would be shocked if they went WR at 14 and it would be the highest we have ever drafted one. Granted, historically it appears we've never missed drafting within the first 15 picks.

I don’t think there’s a ton of sure things available in FA. They’re going to continue prioritizing health and a lot of the big names are at the body breaking down stage of their careers. Could make a move on one of those guys later in the process but I don’t get the sense they’re rushing to fill that hole with options they don’t see as a great fit relative to what they’re looking for.

Oh I think they would if the option presented itself. More noting that they do like the mid round options and feel that could be the sweet spot.

I'm perfectly fine with just taking the best plug n play fatty on their board (Woods/Vega/Proctor). might be the boring compound interest option, but it's smart considering the win now mode and the holes they have on both sides LOS.

I wouldn't. Barring a change in output this year, which is possible, I'm not sure how much more leash they're going to give Bateman, and he's fairly easy to move off of in '27 or '28 once his cap number starts to climb north of $10M.
Flowers is due an extension and will probably get one, meaning it'll make sense to pair him with a high draft pick within the next 1-2 years. Not sure it'll necessarily happen in '26, but I'd be shocked if we're not in on WR early in drafts in the next 1-2 years.

The only other possibility is they actually try to get like AJ Brown while Flowers still has a few more years of cheap left, but that's not the route I would go.

The problem is unless it's a Guard, I'm not sure there's a guy you can take at 14 who will play Tackle in year 1. So either they kick inside (which you need to find a prospect who somewhat fits that mold), or they sit for their rookie year. Not ideal.

I think they'll be in the Tackle market soon, just not sure it's this year. And I'd be quite surprised if they took a true long-term iOL at 14. If I'm taking a Guard at 14, he better be at like Zach Martin level.
