Signings, Cuts, Trades

I was watching a clip of undisputed, and Shannon talked about wr’s not wanting to come to baltimore bc 1200 yards would turn into 800 and it got me thinking.... Anquan Boldin never topped 1,000 yards in the regular season during his tenure in Baltimore, and yet he was exactly what Joe Flacco needed more than anything. That’s why I think Marvin Jones is an absolute perfect fit for this offense. An unselfish, productive player, that catches the football when his number is called. I really hope they make a play for him.

Why so many people against aj green lol.. i actually wouldnt mind
Green has the driest tank of any player in FA.

he put all we need to know about what he’s got left to offer on film last year. He has been slowly regressing into an average at best wr and last year he wasn’t even that. His body isn’t up to the task anymore and he blamed the team for it and then quit on them with a new first overall qb who could’ve really used a veteran like him to help bring him along.

I can’t see any upside to signing green and I’m saying flat out that I’m expecting major disappointment because this is exactly the kinda thing we should expect

Some good news in the morning. Very very solid player and at a good price. Should slot right in at RG.

Did not think I’d ever be interested in watching 2020 giants film... yet here I am

I will absolutely not be watching any tape to confirm, but Twitter tells me he was good at pulling in a power scheme. Not surprising based on what we know about him... just hope that’s what he did last year and not people latching on to what he’s done in the past. Skill set is a definite fit though.

People are making too much of when he slumped his shoulders when he didn't get the ball against us. For the right price, I wouldn't mind either.
Nah, he looked like shit all year lol, was the worst receiver on the bengals and was a liability which is why he lost targets and snaps

I guess that's probably free agency done for us before it even officially opens then lol. Probably still like to see an iOL drafted though.

I don’t think it’s close to done. Pass rusher, WR, TE, and S should all still be on the table. Going to be some more flier types than studs but we probably still have room for another relatively significant addition or two.

I guess it depends on how the Zeitler deal is structured, but we can't have much more than $5-6m of room left can we? Don't have a great grasp on the cap situation.

with an av/yr of 7.5m (likely with a fair amount of backloading especially with 16m guaranteed which means a lower than 7.5m cap hit), it's very unlikely we're done - we might not be involved much this week though

we've got a lot more than that in terms of cap space - now some of that will need to be reserved for draft picks but we've still got money to spend

I saw $20m on over the cap, then assumed $8m for the draft (right/wrong?) so if Zeitler is $7m this year that leaves $5m, as a ballpark example.

It’s likely backloaded to a certain extent, and we don’t know what Zeitler will actually cost. Those are gross numbers but how much is guaranteed? Are there incentives?

Plus, we still have a few potential restructures that will likely happen when we need the money. $20M is what we have now but that’s not what we’re limited to.
