Signings, Cuts, Trades

I wonder if he regrets not taking the extension in December.
I would assume so. I always feel bad for guys like this. Like I understand maxing out what you can get, but I also think there's something to be said for guaranteed money on a long term deal when you aren't exactly a top guy at your position. He could very well be the type of guy that kind of fades into obscurity on 1 year deals for awhile now if he doesn't play well in Carolina.

Can't believe this is all Bozeman got

that number's so low that im surprised the ravens didnt engage lol
that's wildly lower than i thought - i get that they had cut ties but that's a minuscule number for a starting C lol - maybe they just dont rate him that highly lol but it would surprise me given they offered him an extension during the year

Huh the league must really not think highly of him. There aren't many quality Cs in this league. We all know he's not the best one, but still 2.8 max is almost replacement level.

And kinda wild how much his agent missed on his market. I know there’s technically no tampering but we know these agents are out there exchanging figures with teams and the fact that they didn’t see this coming is a bad look on whoever that is. That C market outside of Jensen was actually pretty cheap.

of course he is lol

Bengals Oline: Jonah Williams - Carman- Karras - Cappa - Collins. Wow. They really wasted no time.
Idk what to think of our line. we still lack a C and potentially a LT. We really have to bank on Cleveland or Tyrie to play at a higher level. Are confident either one will be able to improve? Do you know if there's a LT in this class we could move inside his first year?

Maybe Mekari really is our guy - timing-wise it would make sense... bozeman rejects the deal they offered so they turn around and give mekari half of his deal...

not quite 80-20 rule, maybe more like 90-50 in their eyes i guess???

doesnt have any grounds in law which is why the criminal proceedings were not able to go ahead but it's a bit more than a he said-she said

it's a he said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said

and fyi the NFL does have precedent to suspend him even if nothing comes of this - they literally went to court over deflate-gate with regards to Goodell's ability to do exactly this - zeke elliott was suspended 6 games also despite never being criminally charged for domestic violence

I think Deshaun Watson has done more to divide the NFL than Kaepernick ever did, the amount of back & fourth on his whole situation has been quite telling. I've seen female NFL reporters like Lindsay Rhodes and Aditi Kinkhabwala feel torn about the signing, it really feels like either you hate the Browns for doing so or some Browns fans are happy about upgrading at QB and want to ignore the off the field issues.

The big problem has always been how inconsistent the NFL has been overall when it comes to fines & suspensions, I mean again we were ready to welcome Ray Rice back until the video got released. Then we see players like Tyreek Hill being able to play without a problem, it seems the culture of the NFL picks and chooses when to care about players assaulting women. It's been a problem under Goodell... and hell even after it was proven that Zeke was set up he was still suspended 6 games.

Tyre is fine as long as the RT curse doesn't strike Moses down next year.

shocked we werent in on anyone either
this just makes me feel like they really do view mekari as the incumbent and they dont see anyone on the market (that's signed already) as an upgrade on him...

we'll see what happens with JC Tretter but based on how they've approached the market i think you're absolutely right that they view mekari as the starter right now and im pretty sure there's only 2 possible players we could acquire before the season that will change that:
JC Tretter
Tyler Linderbaum

and idk about tretter but linderbaum's very unlikely to me

luckily this year we've got 3 guys currently on the roster who we wont mind seeing play snaps at RT: Moses, James, Mekari
Yea but 1/3 can stay healthy. Idk why this front office is hell bent on paying oft-injured players

Not bringing him back and seeing him only get that much… I feel Linderbaum is in play lol

1 of them has struggled to stay on the field - 1 of them has basically never missed a game - the other had to play through injury and missed a few games last year but hasn't been oft-injured previously
