Not bringing him back and seeing him only get that much… I feel Linderbaum is in play lol
would just be so un-raven-like in so many ways that i cant really imagine it
but hey... he's outrageously athletic and a high-level processor

Mekari wasn’t all that injured prior to last season? My bad, maybe I’m thinking of someone else1 of them has struggled to stay on the field - 1 of them has basically never missed a game - the other had to play through injury and missed a few games last year but hasn't been oft-injured previously

Tyre is fine as long as the RT curse doesn't strike Moses down next year.
God I’m a mess this weekend with my infohe was the guy who came in to replace the injured guys lol
Joe Burrow has been suspended 17 games for Tampering.......... lol jk I wish.

Well hopefully we don't have many injuries and we can just have consistency this year.God I’m a mess this weekend with my info
LOL. But everybody who expects more of a private organization doesn't expect more of themselves in real life.dude, you make me not want to watch football or the ravens
your weird obsession with how things are as some "gotcha" as if the justice system is a perfect system for finding truth and that the logistics are the only important thing here...
this weird idea that having morals or qualms with this situation is some sort of character flaw is more revealing of you than it is anyone else...
you always seem to go to bat for the shit things that happen to people - as if you are somehow offended by the criticism of the NFL as an institution - no one here is naive enough to not know how the NFL works as a private business and what it is legally obliged to do... that does not mean that anyone asking for it to do better is somehow wrong
you are the quintessential distillation of this meme:

And the perfect example that fits my argument...doesnt have any grounds in law which is why the criminal proceedings were not able to go ahead but it's a bit more than a he said-she said
it's a he said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said she said
and fyi the NFL does have precedent to suspend him even if nothing comes of this - they literally went to court over deflate-gate with regards to Goodell's ability to do exactly this - zeke elliott was suspended 6 games also despite never being criminally charged for domestic violence
LOL. But everybody who expects more of a private organization doesn't expect more of themselves in real life.
The "I'm holier than thou" mentality makes people look bad from a character perspective.
Having morals is one thing. Criticizing others for not having the same morals you do... elite level of ignorance. Like top tier, intentional, laughable level of ignorance.
Morals are personal... by definition. That can't be debated or interpreted differently. If the argument is "well the justice system sucks, so we're just going to ignore what they do, and push our own subjective, arbitrary moralities on everybody else, in an attempt to make us look better than we are in real life", congrats, you've lost the argument.
Here's the secret sauce... it's actually possible to be appalled by the things he's done, and NOT actually blame the Browns or any NFL franchise for any of it, or for doing what's 1000% in the best interest of their business. What a shocking revelation. That somebody could objectively look at a situation and not find 1,000 people to blame, because the person they want to blame isn't getting punished the way they should.
What a revolutionary concept critical thinking is. Been around for a few thousand years now. Declining by the minute...
And the perfect example that fits my argument...
When did they suspend him? Five minutes after the accusations happened, or after a year-long investigation (meaning he played while he was being investigated)?
Because you people realize we're basically barely 12 months removed from these allegations, and there are people who think suspensions, without pay, was warranted. I'm asking for examples of that happening, not of the NFL suspending people without criminal charges. That's not close to the argument.
I asked what the NFL could have, from a legal perspective, done differently to Watson in the last 12 months that gets all the people who are butt hurt about this to think that they've administered any arbitrary "punishment" against him.
Suspending him without pay wasn't an option. Any intelligent person knows this. Once the criminal justice system fails to move forward, it's purely risk/reward from any teams perspective. And you'll find TONS of teams that have taken the same approach to this, even with a suspension looming.
Zeke a great example.
The reality is none of this matters. People who are playing the self-righteous card and thinking the NFL has a moral obligation to be the criminal justice system, because the actual criminal justice system failed, are never going to be happy. Anything short of him never playing again is grounds for outrage for those who have the time to be outraged about things that don't impact them.

i feel like empathy, for you, is some sort of foreign thing that you've never experienced and only sort of understand based on 2nd-hand retellings by other people
why shouldnt i criticise businesses for stuff like this?
the NFL literally claims to do stuff for social justice as an organisation so it's clearly important to their brand - so it's absolutely right that they should be criticised for the double-standards...
people are allowed to be disappointed - and the idea that it's somehow "good for business" doesn't absolve the browns or the NFL in this situation just because of "money"
Can't believe this is all Bozeman got
Sure it does. Their business is 100% about money. It's literally the reason for their existence. They don't exist to be the second arm of the law and be the moral police that the legal system can't.i feel like empathy, for you, is some sort of foreign thing that you've never experienced and only sort of understand based on 2nd-hand retellings by other people

Because it's not your choice. You haven't earned the right to dictate lifetime employment status for another human being. You're simply not qualified, nor am I.not saying they would do this
but they ended Kaepernick's career instantly
no reason deshaun has to still be in the league - im not saying they would ever make that choice - but it has to be acknowledged that it was still a choice...
and why is it outrageous to think he shouldnt play again?
Yeah... thats insane. What were the "reports" about our offer during season? No way in hell we didn't compete or beat that. What the hell did Bozeman do between now and our extension offer?
But also we kept saying oh if he wants a 1 year deal we can't afford because it'll be too big a cap hit. We'll we could obviously afford that. I think EDC has a real problem of not making offers. We heard about it with Justin Houston last year. He thought he was being respectful by not offering a small contract. Well his agent had to beg him to make an offer. And guess what happened he signed with us.What the hell did Bozeman do between now and our extension offer?
