im still excited to see what the rest of the league looks like and given that i wasnt anticipating us doing much my excitement for it hasnt really changed with the campbell move
ill only be pissed if i see a player i like go for a deal i wish we'd given them in stead - but as with most things free agency everyone's going to be over-priced

it's looking like the deal may actually be 2 years 25m with 20m guaranteed and 2m incentives that can be earned in 2021

The Orioles have a series finale with the Brewers depending on how the MLB changes the schedule on September 13th. Meaning we would have to play on the road in week one or play in the opening east coast MNF game on the 14th. Only reason I bring this up is Leonard Fournette's tweet about having to play Calais in week one....

So we have damn near 18 mill left? I’m not a cap guy at all, but isn’t that somewhat decent?

Not really. Still need to add Campbell's deal plus Skura's RFA tender. Need emergency funds and some set aside for the draft class.
Going to need to do some restructuring and decline Carr's option and then we'll still be looking at lower level players.
Ravens are going to need to restructure a deal or two if Judon isn't traded, but with the cap supposedly going up with the new CBA, it's not going to be as bad as it once was. That being said, I'd rather keep restructures to a minimum

Mcfarland speculating that we might have to do some restructuring anyway - thomas, peters and williams were the 3 deals he put out there as being options
worth noting that with the projected increases in the next 2 offseasons of cap space that a restructure for either of the first 2 wouldnt be the end of the world - brandon williams being restructured would feel like groundhog day
another reason we might still be looking for IDL in the draft is because we're getting older at that position and dont have a long-term future there
free agency still on schedule now - means that the tampering window opens in 18 and a half hours - i imagine we're going to see lots of deals manifest themselves quickly
the Campbell signing isn't part of the 18m. That becomes official at the beginning of the league year and then we will know the cap hit. No way we can sign Schobert or any significant fa at after the Campbell signing.
we're gonna have to try and find 2 immediate impact players in the draft this year which is fairly doable - 3 would be regarded in most teams's classes as an excellent year (like the saints in 2017 and us in 2018)
that's exactly right. Two immediate starters is more difficult though, but definitely doable.
