Signings, Cuts, Trades

Can you just be happy for once my friend? Wormley has been a non-factor for three year. I'm actually surprised he got us something in return.
True, I'm just confused why we would trade anybody to Pittsburgh.

Highly unlikely he becomes an impact player, but division rivals trading with each other isn't exactly the norm.

I really don't mind the Worley trade. It in my opinion is way less to do with wormley and more to do with money. He was kind shoved down the depth chart with Campbell and Brockers and so we got rid of his contract and got a better pick, cool. What I'm more excited for is what we're doing with the money. I knew something was coming and I think that thing hasn't happened yet.

That's the part that confuses me. Why Pitt. I feel like plenty of others would have done that trade

I mean... I can't imagine he's in high demand. Like Pittsburgh has generally played a comparable scheme to us, and they typically tend to value the same types of players as we do, so it makes sense they'd want him, and they're also light on current year draft and cap capital, hence the 2021 picks.

So ultimately, it could have been Pittsburgh or nobody. Takes two to tango. I learned long ago that we fans tend to overvalue our own players, especially sort of these fringe roster, depth type players, which is what I view Wormley as. If you added a Dlineman or two in the draft or as an UDFA, he theoretically may not have even made the roster.

Trading him to a division rival is just disrespect. Like, I don’t believe you can do us any harm even if we give you 2 chances, so bye.

similar scenario with the raiders sending gareon conley to the texans so that they could play against him the next week - the disrespect there is unreal - not only do we not fear him, we actively want to play against him lol

thats pretty interesting

if it happens it would certainly lower the cap hit for 2020 which would give us some flexibility - we're for sure not going to be able to find a cheaper or better replacement on the free agency market and judon has value within our scheme but he's also right on that bubble where he isnt a no brainer which is what makes everyone nervous

im not sure really whether to trust it given that judon has said some weird things over his time on twitter lol but that seems pretty clear to put that out there on twitter

I have a feeling we will be making a lot of tough cuts with all the picks have, so glad we are getting draft capital for him next season.
