it's possible this year that 2m doesn't clear the threshold as it once did at a lower salary.
Rumor is that $2.5M or so is the threshold this year

Sorry I left out Ruiz somehow, I’ve definitely watched a good bit on him and I’ve watched Jonah Jackson as well. But thanks, I finally got the urge to watch IOL today and checked out Robert Hunt and was thoroughly impressed to the point I’m considering him for one our round 2srobert hunt is my OG 2 behind wirfs (who on my board is a guard) and ahead of muti who i have as OG 3 just ahead of Lewis as OG 4
in terms of guards to watch some stuff on to see what you think: Shane Lemieux from Oregon, John Simpson from Clemson, Jonah Jackson from Ohio State, Ben Bredeson (and Michael Onwenu) from Michigan - in fact you might as well just watch any Michigan game because all 3 of the IOL are nice draftable prospects - Ruiz at center, Bredeson at LG and Onwenu at RG
the other guy who might be of interest given that you liked robert hunt is the guy who actually played RG for louisiana-lafayette just inside him... Kevin Dotson who i really like but was snubbed by the combine
if i were prioritising id say watch lemieux and bredeson to get your thoughts on them
at C the only guy left off your list for me would be matt hennessey - hennessey is the only C i have graded before day 3 except for the consensus top 3: Ruiz, Cush and Biadasz
I agree. I don't think we're done addressing the Dline either, as I expect we'll add a body or two in the draft. I just think its a position that would be hard for us to have available in the first round or two.

Brockers is worth all that and more. It's actually lower than his previous salary so what's the issue here?remember 2 seasons ago when we gave ryan grant 30 mill for 3 years and then pulled out?
This FO does have its stinkers when it comes to evaluating players and paying them ACCORDINGLY.
$29M over four years, with only $14.5M guaranteed.remember 2 seasons ago when we gave ryan grant 30 mill for 3 years and then pulled out?

I tend to agree with you for two reasons. One Brockers signed with us in principle when there were still suitors going after him that are no longer there. Two, we are a classy player first organization and would never deliberately tried to screw any player over. I think they bend over backwards working with Brockers agent to make this work. Whether it eliminates some guarantees or makes part of the 30M incentive based in terms of playing time (like they did with Jimmy) remains to be seen. But, I fully expect Brockers to be announced as a Baltimore Raven within a week or so.my guess is that if anything changes it's a few guarantees get changed to roster bonuses or incentives for playing time etc. stuff like that
i would be surprised if the total value of the contract changed though
Agreed. The front office led by EDC is well aware of what a player's market is and will pay for players accordingly. Or not get into a bidding war and let them go like they did Suh.Brockers is worth all that and more. It's actually lower than his previous salary so what's the issue here?
definitely - i think he's a top 40 prospect and would definitely be a consideration at the 55th and 60th picks
I think so too.Dallas might start circling Ruiz now that Travis Frederick has retired

We going murry not ruiz lolRuiz is a bit soft for me. I like his game but I see him as a better version of Zuttah than say a Nick Mangold.I'd like the pick though.
