Think Linderbaum is an option?

i dont but the closer we get to the draft without an answer at C, the more it'll creep into my mind i think...
i just dont see the fit and i cant imagine them seeing the fit either - and we know EDC's a big value and analytics guy and i cant imagine him being so sure that a C (of all positions) is going to be BPA at 14 that they wont do anything to the position before then... that just doesnt fit their MO

i wonder if they just aren't interested in the C market then
they're clearly not panicking and there's no way they dont have a plan for the position but i cant think what it would be unless they really truly are fully invested in Linderbaum (but that would be shocking to me)
I know I've been in the minority with this thinking for awhile but I truly believe they're alright with Mekari there. I'd imagine they also have a couple of people identified in the draft but they aren't going to reach for them of course.

You mean the guy who got Lamar concussed? Hahaha

The Washington Commanders.

New Name. Same BS.

Everyone was singing his praises for stabilizing the position prior to that game though. It was a really bad game but it could have been just that... a bad game.

Now this idea is funny but scary… because the ravens would probably do this knowing them lol

i know zrebiec said they were but i just cannot possibly believe that - he's a battler and he'll fight wherever we put him on the line and that's why he's been so good at 5 different positions during his time here but his functional strength on the interior worries me and the other downside is obviously it put us in the same situation as last year where tyre phillips is potentially (depending on the respective health situations of stanley and james) a starter at tackle or 1 injury away from starting at tackle and that just cant be allowed to happen for a 3rd year in a row

Disgusting.

Think people are overreacting to this. If they're giving him a new contract, he's never going to have a high base salary in year 1 anyway. Pretty much any contract of this size is going to have large signing bonuses and large roster bonuses attached to it. Its not like he was ever going to have a $20M salary in year 1.

$1M is obviously as low as it goes and that was intentional, but people are acting like they're massively circumventing this. There was never a scenario where he was going to lose like many millions from a suspension.

I think they'd prefer him to be that super sub type of guy but I also think they know they have an option there and aren't going to push it if something else doesn't line up. I mean Tretter is basically the only thing left in FA now unless you want like a Billy Price or BJ Finney. And based on the other prices, I would be hard pressed to believe they were in that market too strong because we could have won one of those guys easily if we were that worried about it. Just seems like they think the money can be better spent elsewhere.

OBJ (I dont know why I kept typing D but now I have to stop my own muscle memory) tends to do the best when he can improvise a route and let his impressive raw skills take over. Cooper is one of the best route runners in the NFL and that is how he produces. I do not think he was worth 20m per year but the Browns are gonna Brown.
Bruh Odell Beckham was a great route runner in the nfl while kupp was still a small school redshirt

I think we as a board may have started drinking early or something. It's actually crazy reading some of this stuff.

Now sign Tretter ready so I can move on to the draft

i get that - just dont love the idea of mekari starting at C for 17 games
but i guess, at least the cupboard isnt bare

i do worry though about the side impact of mekari at C does for tackle - i guess ultimately he can be a backup T too and if someone goes down you bring TCC in at C and move Mekari to tackle but that's disruptive
