Yea i wouldnt be surprised if he signed a 4yr deal or even 3 like you sayI have some suspicion that's based on no evidence whatsoever that Lamar only wants to sign like a 3 year extension beyond this year. I think he wants to get another mega contract after this one.
Hopefully that mf is blessed like lebron and is body dnt ageAlternatively it is possible he ages more like Cam than Russ. I would bet on a short deal with an opportunity to cash in again myself. No matter how you slice it the deal is going to create cap problems whether it is 3 years or 5 years.
All in reference to Russell's deal. Just an interesting comment. Not to fuel speculation but if Lamar thinks Russ' deal is a lot, maybe he's not asking for as much as we think, and maybe we're not offering as much either.
Is iswea slang for its sweet? All I can guess is that he's agreeing with Marlon that the Russ deal was pretty huge
That's my point. If he thinks that's a huge deal, then maybe he's not asking for as much as we all think (aka fully guaranteed). Maybe huge to him is something similar and the FO just isn't offering that.Is iswea slang for its sweet? All I can guess is that he's agreeing with Marlon that the Russ deal was pretty huge
That would make sense lolisnt it just... i swear
Yep.. this is probably exactly it.That's my point. If he thinks that's a huge deal, then maybe he's not asking for as much as we all think (aka fully guaranteed). Maybe huge to him is something similar and the FO just isn't offering that.
I'm not 100% sure on the calculation. Exclusive tag should be top 5 average salaries for that year, which would put him at $47.3M for 2023. 2024 would be 120% of that, which would put him at $56.7M.What are we looking at? $100 million total for 2023 and 2024 if were using exclusive tag?
Good Lord. I actually wanted Maye before we got Marcus
Yea I don't get it. I'd be on my best behavior if I was getting paid millions unless doing hood rat shit was my source of income lolWhy, just why. You are in the fucking NFL, lock your guns at home and stop doing hood rat shit.
IR for Bridges. What the hell happened to Shemar Bridges? Our PS isn't even full right?

Oh I didn't even know he was injured. Well maybe he makes the PS next year. Would we hear about Tyre at 4pm then today?IR for Bridges.
15 of 16 spots full and Harbaugh has said he's hoping Tyre clears waivers and re-signs today. If not, I'm sure they'll look to fill it early next week.
yes it could arguably cost less but it also could very well cause a strain in the relationship as it did with Kirk Cousins.Tend to agree. I look at it like this... if the Ravens are going to give him a 3 year deal, why not just do two years of tags? It would arguably cost less.
if they are high, it's in the ballpark.I'm not 100% sure on the calculation. Exclusive tag should be top 5 average salaries for that year, which would put him at $47.3M for 2023. 2024 would be 120% of that, which would put him at $56.7M.
So that would put two years at $104M.
I feel like my numbers might be high, but I really don't know.
I have said all along though that, while I struggle with the Ravens at $47M next year, I don't see them doing a $57M cap hit two years from now. If they get to that point, I would bet the moment he gets tagged for year two, they seek a trade partner. Either he plays one year on the tag and gets traded, or he signs an extension before end of next season. That's my guess.
Well that, and, most importantly, puts a tremendous strain on the salary cap. Reality is with the exclusive tag, our available cap space shrinks to less than zero basically. Talking restructures and roster cuts needed just to be able to get under most likely.yes it could arguably cost less but it also could very well cause a strain in the relationship as it did with Kirk Cousins.
