Cool. DJ Moore doesn't appear to be available via trade, though. I don't think the Panthers would trade him for that price, considering he's a foundational piece of that team.
Also Smith will be considerably cheaper in terms of price tag than Moore will be next year or in future years.

I agree, actually and I'd rather have Jeudy here but the AFC team won't trade with us and he'd probably cost more than Moore.

Which, of course, ignores the fact that he has a first round and an All-Pro TE to throw to also. Understanding they're both hurt, but its not the GM's job to go 6 deep at WR so that Lamar can just throw to studs all day long either.

And I'm sure they'll add receivers in the offseason. But I'd be much more comfortable putting a top 10 defense out there (assuming we can get to that level), having good pass protection, and being able to run the ball on anybody. At that point, I feel very confidence in asking my All-World QB to make some plays, with or without high end receiver talent.

I think guys like Toney and possible Elijah Moore (who the Jets seemingly aren't trading either) are like the "high end" WRs available in this market. A lot of the "names" people been floating out I'm just not sold are getting traded unless they get blown out of the water with an offer.

The reason we can trade for a roquan smith is his positional value makes his trade comp WAY less. Roquan smith is a top 3 LB in the league, dj moore probably sits somewhere between 10-15 and that’s very generous and he would cost way more

Just throw a 6th to the Jets for Mims and call it a day.
