Signings, Cuts, Trades

Don't know why Tennessee would hold on to them given their record and not get picks for them.

I hope we snag a back, but man Gus and Justice must feel like shit hearing all these rumors. Life of the league, but still that’s rough

I really hope they don't eat all the void years next year. Just keep pushing the cap hits forward until we come to the end of Lamar's SB window. Why would a team overly worry about balancing the cap while they're paying $52 M to a top 3 QB?

Likely could be a TE1 somewhere. We got a 2nd for Hurst, who'd shown less than him in the NFL at the time.
Except Hurst was a 1st round pick. That does matter even when it should not. Teams often struggle to change their initial evaluation of a player.

Call me an emotional fan, but you don’t trade a guy like Henry for peanuts. Means too much to that franchise and most importantly is still playing well. I’m sure they been getting calls for a 4th or 5th + eating some of his salary.
He could certainly help the Will Levis transition even if he isn’t extended this year

O well it was fun while it lasted

I mean if he's traded to a contender then its probably best for both parties assuming the Titans get something decent in return.

Makes sense to me. Especially the contender piece for Henry. Maybe the change of heart comes from 1) extreme low ball offers or 2) they believe they have a chance to resign for a price that works for both sides

They just playing hardball. When they lose tomorrow… they’ll be on the phone lines fasho fasho
What I’m thinking

I just don't like the fit of Henry with the Ravens. He's a great back but you've got to really commit to him to get the most out of him.

He famously gets better the longer the game goes on. In the first half he's always gone for a lot of 2-3 yard runs, with the idea that people get worn down tackling him and he starts to gash teams with big runs in Q3 & 4.

Those short first half runs put the offense in unfavorable downs and distances. Tennessee made that work by beng a heavy play action team, asking Tannehill to take the hits to make the throws.

I think the Ravens offense has a higher ceiling than that. We don't need to be committed to unproductive 1st half runs to generate offense, it would be a waste of our receiving talent to line up in heavy run looks to sell the play action and we certainly don't want to ask our $50 M QB to sit in the pocket taking hits to get the PA passes off. It would be like turning the clock back to the Roman years.

Why would you want to build your offense around an aging running back when you can build it around Lamar?

Can we trade for Kamara?
