Signings, Cuts, Trades

I understand not overpaying, but I think if we can stay healthy we are contenders. Since we will have so many free agents next season, it just feels like we should have tried this season to go for it and traded for someone that could have helped put us over the top. Disappointing!

I was good with the inactivity until Chase Young went to the 49ers for a third. He’s having a really nice bounce back season and is an instant upgrade over Ojabo and Oweh. Puts alot of pressure now on Clowney to stay healthy and produce at a high level

Not mad we stayed put. Seems that the guys rumored to be available never really were. And the ones that were ended up being expensive. No Roquan Smith available in my eyes this year.

I know. I was just pointing out how the "optics" numbers without any context can lead somebody to think something that isn't true actually is true.
I would argue Harris is not even the best RB on their team. If they had a QB who could throw he would probably have the volume to be seen as the bust that he is.

yep, I would agree. Think Warren is the better back and should have more carries. Never understood why they drafted Harris over Etienne, but I'm glad they did.

Imo we needed an RB to contend with the big boys. That will help open the passing up. Teams are going to do like the Cards drop everyone back and dare us to run. Lamar seemed hesitant to run against the cards. If I'm not mistaken we have only one game with over a hundred yards. We've played nothing but back up QBs and the only great offensive showing in 8 games was against the lions.

I'm pessimistic right now. I know some of you will point out the positives but I was hoping we would of also took of some pressure off Lamar by giving him a playmaker at RB
For the purposes of this talk lets set the other contenders as: Dolphins, Bills, Chiefs, Bengals, and Jags. Of that group the Ravens have the 3rd best set of weapons, to the Dolphins and Bengals. They have the best or 2nd best OLine in that group (depends on how you feel about Chiefs as they wasted a bunch of money on a T who cant line up). The Ravens also have the 1st or 2nd best defense (again with the only competition being Chiefs).

At some point you have to be able to look at an offense and go "this is a good set of weapons, go show why you are our guy". Notice the only two teams with better weapons of the contenders in the AFC have rookie QB deals.

Ok I got this one right. Expected no move this year. We don't have the future cap luxury to throw at not top tier guys. The only one you could maybe quibble over is the Chase young one but who cares tbh.

The problem with that game was that Monken got away from the run game until the second half then after that the run game was doing fine. Seems like Monken has to find a balance on how to use Gus Edwards, Justice Hill, and Keaton Michell going forward to me.

dolphins, bengals, jags have better weapons for sure
bills you can say have better weapons with
only one they better weapons is the chiefs

and if you're thinking this team is a sb contender then thats also the eagles, niners having better set of weapons, ravens lost their main back for the szn and did nothing

We're on, I think, 24 games straight with over 100 yards rushing, so we're not exactly struggling there. It doesn't really matter if the yards come from one back or several.
I wasn't counting Lamar’s rushing stats. Strictly the RBs. Most of our rushing yards come from the QB hence why I wanted us to get an RB and take some of that pressure of him.
