I dont know about gus being the main back

Gus is a solid running back and he is what he is. He's not considered the typically ideal starting running back because he's not very quick or fast along with him not being a major asset in the passing game but he does have solid vision and just simply can make a play here and there. At the running back position he is the Ravens thunder and now the Ravens just need to figure out which back will be lighting out of Hill and Mitchell even though Hill has shown he can make a play when asked upon.

I wasn't counting Lamar’s rushing stats. Strictly the RBs. Most of our rushing yards come from the QB hence why I wanted us to get an RB and take some of that pressure of him.
We have 1145 yds rushing. Lamar has 380. That seems like quite a reasonable balance.

If most of those Rb yards were coming from one primary back, they'd be well on the way to a 1000 yd season and we wouldn't be worried.

dolphins, bengals, jags have better weapons for sure
bills you can say have better weapons with
only one they better weapons is the chiefs

and if you're thinking this team is a sb contender then thats also the eagles, niners having better set of weapons, ravens lost their main back for the szn and did nothing
Bills have Diggs and nobody else worth anything. I would say the Bills and Chiefs are in the same situation where if you take away their 1 weapon the entire offense folds. For the Jags to put it simply Andrews is simply better than anyone the Jags have as a weapon. For the RB room they are not doing great. Etienne is a slightly better Harris in terms of getting by on volume. Meanwhile at WR Kirk is solid, but Ridley just keeps making mistakes. I was actually surprised he was at a 57% catch rate and that is still not good enough. I struggle to see an argument that their weapons are good.

Also to make it to the Super Bowl the 49ers and Eagles do not matter. Though it is worth noting again that the 2 teams you cited again have guys on rookie deals. When you are on a rookie deal you get better weapons. Once that ends you need to be able to carry the team.

I usually do not like doing stats this way (because YPC to me tends to not tell the whole story) but it is worth nothing that Edwards is at 4.1 YPC and Hill at 4.7 YPC and people seem upset that the Ravens did not make a move to trade key future draft picks (considering the Ravens will soon need to replace much of the front 7 and most of the DL) for a half year rental. Those guys that they wanted the Ravens to rent were Jacobs at 3.1 YPC and Barkley at 3.7 YPC.

Yeah andrews thats it, they themselves have one of the best tight ends in engram, along with several receivers better then ours if you're talking to someone thats not a ravens fan pretty sure they have buffalo weapons over ours, who we have besides Andrews and zay on a national standpoint, no one worth mentioning, the team main rb is out, and as long as the bills have allen and mahomes they're good

edc should've got a big play back like jacobs, gus will give you 5 yards a carry sometimes but no big plays

EDC can’t draft. Why he stingy with them picks for?!
you obviously haven't paid too much attention to his drafts overall if you feel he can't draft.

Lets look at the 2020 Draft since they are finishing their first 4 seasons.

1st Patrick Queen - 'nuff said
2nd JK Dobbins - not EDC's fault he has been injured, but when he is healthy he's very good
3rd - Madubuike - 'nuff said
3rd - Devin Duvernay - not exactly a bust but not a good WR. Had a couple really good years as kick returner
3rd - Malik Harrison - been a decent depth player
4th - Thre Phillips - bust but we did trade him for a 4th
5th - Ben Bredeson - bust but we traded him for a 5th and a 7th
5th - Broderick Washington - Good DL depth and has been extended
6th - James Proche - bust
7th - Geno Stone - very good safety and could start for atleast half the teams in the league.

I was messing around, but since you put so much effort in it… I’ll play along.

I see your 2020 class and raise you 2019 & 2021. You tell me if they are hits

2019 - Marquise Brown was a good player for us and we traded him for a 1st round pick that turned into Linderbaum
Justice Hill is finally getting used and is a decent player. That's it from that class.

2021 class was a week class overall so it's not surprising we didn't do as well, however Oweh is starting to come around as he is getting his pressures and Stephens is playing really well. I believe Bateman is just getting back to speed and played very well when healthy last season and his rookie year. Blame Cleveland and Mason on Jon Harbaugh. Those were his picks (he needs to stop making picks)

If you get 3 starters from a class you are doing very well.

2022 the first two picks already look like studs and one of the best at their positions, but it's too soon to grade this class anyway.

You can’t justify Hollywood pick as a good pick from EDC by saying we swapped him out for linderbaum. That just means he wasnt good enough to get extended and EDC got lucky Cardinals QB is his bff. Literally the only team who would give a 1st for him.

“2022 the first two picks already look like studs?”

Ojabo played in like 3 games and can’t hold the edge to save his life. 3-4 game action in 2 years, with that production.. is enough for you to say he a stud? Lol

EDC drafting has been mid at best if we’re being honest.

I’ll chime in and add that Ben Powers also turned into a starter from that 2019 class.

As for Hollywood, dude wasn’t going to resign here anyways due to the offensive system. Much like Josh Jacobs, so as a good GM he offloaded him while he had value.

Also the first two picks from 2022 are Hamilton and Lindy. Not Ojabo

Jacobs is giving you 3.1 YPC right now. Also his long for running is 24 yards. For Justice Hill that number is 27 yards and for Edwards that number is 20 yards (though remember Edwards does have the 80 yard reception which is the 2nd longest pass of Lamar's career). So the big play you are expecting is not there. The average YPC you are expecting is not there.

Also the Jags do not have "several receivers better" they have Kirk and that is it. I think if I offered Flowers for Ridley for just this year just about every GM is taking Flowers with a smile on their face, because Ridley is okay. Kirk is a top 20-25ish WR. Ridley maybe top 40ish. You are okay if Ridley is your 2 but he is not a player you win because of. You have had this bad habit of drastically underrating Ravens WRs, possibly because you only watch highlights of other team's whereas when you see every snap you see the deficiencies.

Realistically Jaguars have a worse RB room, a worse TE room, and a slightly better WR room (if better at all). That is inferior in terms of weaponry.

I stand corrected. Forgot we had 2 1st in 2022. Guess that Ojabo pick left such a bad taste in my mouth lol

Good to see everyone going through all the stages of grief so quickly lol

Jets gonna release Dalvin Cook soon for us. It’s all gucci here!

Honestly, a rb goes down, you got a good rb2 and a solid rb3 to step in, you got weapons, you got a franchise qb, that qb needs to go get it done. Henry or Barkley would’ve been awesome, anyone else would’ve been reaching, a Gibson or javonte Williams would’ve been nice adds if the draft comp was low.

I’m upset we did nothing at all, an edge or cb would’ve really pushed us. If jaylon johnson was actually available I’m offering a 2, I’m offering a 3 for chase young easily, if we had to offer a 2 I would do it. If we just rotate the dude and get a strong half a season and post season getting to the qb then it’s an absolute win considering we’re in a win now window, not as in we gotta go for it all just for this year but like we’re a sb contender right now let’s go get a piece that could put any contender over the top. Adding a starting corner or edge is almost guaranteed to yield big results on the field as long as the player isn’t a total bust

Pickens should’ve been the pick, but at the time it was between Pickens or ojabo and frankly the only reason to prefer one over the other was personal preference. Ojabo was a steal where we got him based on the film, dude has stayed injured though, couldn’t project all that based on one freak injury.
