Hopefully a whole new coaching staff means no more of the bullshit coaching input on day 3. Too much room for personal bias and ego to get in the way when your positional coaches have a hand in pushing the GM to draft certain players, it has not yielded good results
You don't want us drafting Mrs Minter's favorite player in the 5th this year? Disrespectful!

Should’ve fired EDC the same time as Harbaugh.

Feels like a lot of people think every player we draft needs to be a bonafide starter or star or it's a fail. Role players are good things to have. And sometimes you have to know who is a role player and let them walk when they're getting more than role player money. I'm not paying any of the guys we lost on multi-year deals to the money they got.
I’d have paid likely what he got all day.

It's sounding like the offers he's gotten to this point have been sub-$30M and I have to imagine if they were willing to pay $22M for Linderbaum, they'd be open to a bit more for another pass rusher. I would guess someone is going to pay up and it's not going to be the Ravens, but doesn't mean they won't keep the option open.

Interesting. I can see Tennessee out bidding us but not sure if he’d want to go lose there.

This would be an intriguing move if it were to happen.

not saying they're amazing players but we've definitely been picking good prospects in day 3 anyway (where most of what's there sucks) - lots of good bets as we saw with the mass exodus of guys this year from the 2022 class

2023: 4 day 3 picks netted us - Tavius Robinson (solid rotational EDGE) and Andrew Vorhees (replacement level guard)
2024: 6 day 3 picks netted us - Tez Walker, TJ Tampa and Rasheen Ali - no starters there, but depth guys with traits and roles on their units
2025: 8 day 3 picks netted us already - Teddye Buchanan (starting LB) - as well as a bunch of other promising rookies or guys who had year 1 roles and have a chance to become hits: Carson Vinson (potential swing tackle), Bilhal Kone (good looking CB pre-injury), Tyler Loop (eek), LaJohntay Wester (promising punt returner), Aeneas Peebles (promising DT)

none of those classes compare to the 2022 day 3 that we've just watched leave:
Isaiah Likely
Charlie Kolar
Jordan Stout
Daniel Faalele (we hate him but he was a 2 year starter)

but also all those guys were 4th rounders
