I'll say this. Before the Crosby move I still thought we'd see a drastic improvement in the defense. This is like showing a kid a brand new ps5 on christmas then giving him a happy meal toy. Like others said the biggest problem is now we get a late start but there are pieces out there I'd move on.

I mean technically we can still retain Linderbaum, sign other free agents who already signed, etc. we just make them better offers. It’s happened to us before and it won’t be the last time it happens.

I don’t think Crosby trade impacted any decisions we made in FA or the lack thereof.

I mean it for certain did. If you're in the vet pass rusher market, a lot of those guys are off the board now. If this physical happened on Saturday or Sunday, it'd be an entirely different story.

I definitely think they'll be in on Hendrickson, but the timing of this is nearly a disaster.

I don't see it happening. #1, it'll piss off multiple other GMs and likely agents. #2, I'm really not even sure what players would be targets for that. It would be double down stupid to somehow now overpay for Linderbaum because you back out of a Crosby deal. At the very least, they should be targeting players in similar position groups.

I mean at Edge, it's pretty much Phillips and the return of Oweh. Outside of that there's not much there.
