Signings, Cuts, Trades

Todd Monken was given the title of "works with what he's got" but I just dont see how that's true literally at all. I can think of just so many examples of roster mismanagement and the inability to adapt in-game. The forcing of bad plays and concepts or even good plays but at ridiculously predictable times.

I hope we can sign guys and actually use them appropriately. Goes for both sides of the ball. The reason I didn't even bring up Orr here, is because he wasn't even competent. At least Monken deserves some kinda job.

I think he definitely wanted to go down field and pass more but it felt like he wasn’t taking advantage of what we had. Player usage is a consistent issue and simply rewarding players for playing special teams is ASS

He irritated me more than Orr. Because Todd should be great, but has some mental issue stopping him. Orr was entirely unqualified to be there.

I'd say 2. Nothing earth shattering of course but always productive in the snaps he got. And then last year, the whole offense just felt like a disaster. Seems they're scrubbing performance of almost everyone from last year and hoping to get back to 2024.
Yeah I guess he was alright in 23, felt like he had a monster year in 24 tho

if you're going to take players off your board with various concerns, this is going to be a very small draft class lol
there's a good amount of talent in this class, but a whole lot of it comes with questions, especially at the top - lots of guys with non-ideal medical histories, measurements or testing
I only said guys coming off injuries. It hasn’t worked out for us in a while. I don’t think we really benefit from it. I never said anything about measurements or testing or injury histories. I specifically stated guys who are injured right now, which would also extend to guys who would be injured into camp.

Jones could be a great G but we really need year 1 impact players unless we’re talking about late day 3 picks, then sure

ok so you're saying you'd take Zay over pickens and wilson
but you'd put AJ Brown behind him

that would still make Zay 11th and at that point we're just quibbling over 1 or 2 spots - he would clearly be part of the tier of guys that's worthy of being paid
I think you put him in a tier or two above me. I think AJ is borderline top tier if not the top of the 2nd tier.

AJ didn’t need to do anything during Saquon’s historic run last year, and last year they arguably had the worst OC.

Meanwhile we point to Zay last year, and yes he was great, but you also had Bateman and Likely out a majority of the season. Plus add in the fact Monken couldn’t utilize his WRs to their strengths.

My list would look closer to this, in no order besides tier:

Tier 1: JJ, Chase, JSN, Nacua, Nabers

Tier 2: Brown, Lamb, St. Brown, London, Collins, Pickens, McMillan, Pierce

Tier 3: Higgins, Waddle, Flowers, Smith, DK, Thomas, McLaurin, Addison, Sutton, Moore

At best Zay may be 14th, but I could see an argument for the other guys in that tier above him. He’s more like 14-20.

This team was awful in the redzone last year and I do not see it getting better without another outside threat.

Henry is fine in the redzone, but gets stuffed behind the LOS a lot. Lamar is not really a run threat near the goal line besides extending plays. Andrews is the only real threat and is steadily declining.

Higgins is tier 2 to me.

Brown and Lamb are tier 1
