I mean logically if Stafford plays 5 games the Rams are still 75% to make the playoffs because the rest of the roster is so overwhelming. That bet needs to pay out at +800 for it to even be a bet worth considering so at +350 it is terrible odds. To say the Rams are 90% to make the playoffs is being generous to the 10%. They need not only a QB injury but to be one of the 1-2 teams a year that has their entire roster get injured. Unfortunately those teams are usually cycling between 49ers, Ravens, and Chargers, with the occasional wild card thrown in.
lol what math did you use to come up with a 75% probability or a +800 to miss the playoffs, which would be one of the biggest props in NFL history. There's legit super teams with exponentially better rosters than there's who weren't priced that high.

They are a super team. I would stack their roster against every super team in the salary cap era. +350 means you think they are about a 20-25% chance to miss the playoffs in order for that bet to be even odds.

Last year there were 2 teams in the NFC that were clearly the top 2 in the Rams and Seahawks and the Seahawks are a little worse and the Rams are a lot better. So lets back up and review. The Rams conservatively are: top 5 OLine, top 5 weapons, top 2 QB. The Rams weakness was secondary, specifically they were 1 corner short of an elite defense, and they want and added an all pro CB to plug that hole. Then they added the best pass rusher in football to a team that finished 8th in sacks last year.

Basically if you gave me a choice for one of two bets (these have about the same odds): Rams miss playoffs or Garrett breaks his sack record I am taking the latter every time because Garrett is finally in a position where he will be on a team that is ahead more often so he can get more pass rush snaps.

Huge target. Speed. Can play all over the field. New OC I'm pretty sure likes his TEs and Andrews is up there.
I really like our rookies tbh. I’d be on board for Pitts if we didn’t draft them

Please tell me the Pitts rumors are lies @Simba
I read this as Pitta at first and I was saying what the fuck

There's nothing to it as of now. Doesn't mean there won't be at some point, but it's just some guy that speculated and you know how social media is... they run with it. Don't think they're going to be in the business of giving up a premium pick for the right to pay a guy that been as inconsistent as he's been.

We signed Durham Smythe to be our blocking Tight End, and we drafted two tight ends who from all accounts have been impressive so far this offseason. It's not happening, maybe if we didn't draft one of our Tight Ends and traded for Pitts, I could have seen it.

I know he's coming off an ACL tear but might be worth a look. Brings valuable starting experience as a Center so there is that. Especially if there is no clear cut winner at Center among our current players.

@Simba Could this be something the team was monitoring or no interest at all?

They've been keeping an eye out but everything I've heard doesn't seem to indicate they have the same views on his health. I heard internally that they didn't think he'd be ready until part of the way through the season.

Don't know that he hasn't recovered faster by any means, but this could also be an agent saying he's good and it's still going to take awhile for him to be a real factor.

But again, maybe the recovery went faster than expected and now they have to reevaluate.

What's your take on who ends up becoming the starter? It feels like when Ryan Jensen left for Tampa. Fans were worried what we would do at Center. Then Matt Skura played well enough for a bit, including Lamar's first MVP in 2019. Losing Linderbaum for an unknown at Center hurts but I think we'll be alright, especially since we got a good OL coach who knows what he's doing.

Assuming we stay in house, I'd be shocked if it's anyone but Pinter. I don't think they're done looking for other options but Pinter is the favorite at this stage and I don't think it's particularly close with Gwyn or Bullock (when he gets back healthy).
