Lol. When you said Ricards name I half believed it. He is our Swiss army knife after all.I'm kidding regarding Ricard, but it should be obvious why I wouldn't want James Hurst playing left tackle. lol

Makes sense and I hope it is just what you said and a bruise only. I’d be good with him playing but definitely don’t want to risk further injury so maybe limit his snaps some.nothing since schefter's report yesterday and rapsheet's report today - my position hasnt demonstrably changed - if it is indeed a thigh bruise/dead leg as we suspect and there was no tearing then i do expect him to play thursday and i do think it wont impact him moving forwards
if its something else then that whole conversation was completely moot
To be fair, that was before the injury report. I think we have to start Lamar because he can easily gain some separation from the Jets and then use RG3 in the second half to close out the game. That said, I’m worried about Lamar playing especially if Stanley doesn’t15.5 points favorites? I don't know about that. We are a pretty banged up group on offense with Stanley and Andrews out potentially. I don't really want to see Lamar run a whole bunch either with an injured quad. I want us to sit him and play RGIII if we are up by 2 TDs.
Stanley is my biggest concern but Jackson is right up there due to his explosiveness.Still a bit early to gauge the injury report.
That being said, Andrews not playing in the 2nd half gives likely concern for his status just four days later, and Stanley being in the Concussion protocol a day after a game and 4 days prior to the next game likely rules him out for me.
Suspicion is Lamar will be fine and play this game, with hopefully the ability to build a lead early in the 2nd half for him to take a break.
The biggest concern for me is if Stanley is out then that means Lamar will have even less protection and if he’s hurt that makes matters even worse. You’re talking about a higher chance of injury IMO since he’ll be in the pocket.Yea there’s no way Lamar doesn’t play Thursday lol. He was playing just fine the second half yesterday after his injury. Probably just a precaution to sit him out today and Harbs is being coy as usual to make the Jets think there’s a possibility RG3 starts. Come on guys. Lamar is a warrior
I agree Lamar’s injury doesn’t sound serious but cause of who he is and how critically important he is people will naturally show a high level of concern if he has any ailment. Unless we hear something new I expect him to playYea there’s no way Lamar doesn’t play Thursday lol. He was playing just fine the second half yesterday after his injury. Playing with a minor injury is far less of a risk to Lamar’s health that Hurst at LT would be. I have to think that he is next man up. Give him LOTS of help from Ricard or Boyle
I can see Lamar and Andrews suiting up. However, I don't see Stanley playing because of the mandatory 5 step concussion protocols in place. So, I'm not sure how we handle the Jets. I am not sure if we played RGIII the whole game we win the game, but like you said maybe have LJ in for the first half put up some points and have a healthy lead and then play RGIII in contain mode....Makes sense and I hope it is just what you said and a bruise only. I’d be good with him playing but definitely don’t want to risk further injury so maybe limit his snaps some.

Hmmm... interesting but I don't think OBJ has any snaps at LT whereas Hurst does. It is entirely likely if we switch we may have two bad bookends vs just one at LT if Hurst mans it.why not Orlando brown at LT and Hurst at RT?
I had to read that a second time to realise who you meant.Hmmm... interesting but I don't think OBJ has any snaps at LT whereas Hurst does. It is entirely likely if we switch we may have two bad bookends vs just one at LT if Hurst mans it.
why not Orlando brown at LT and Hurst at RT?
While I think teams like to keep players in the position they played all year moving Orlando to LT is a distinct possibility. Lamar is pretty good at evading pressure as long as he can see it coming.why not Orlando brown at LT and Hurst at RT?
But why would you expose both sides of the line by moving Zeus over? While I think teams like to keep players in the position they played all year moving Orlando to LT is a distinct possibility. Lamar is pretty good at evading pressure as long as he can see it coming.
that's messing with two positions. The less we change the better and chemistry is important on the offensive line.why not Orlando brown at LT and Hurst at RT?
If I remember correctly mekari was getting snaps at LT. It would make sense to put him there, move Bozeman to Center, and plug in Hurst at LG
Injury update:
both Lamar and Andrews were practicing today
I think they confused a concussion with a hangover.Looks good for both except Stanley. You’re probably right on Andrews with his thigh only being a bruise. Sucks about Stanley I really wanted him to play. I don’t even know how he entered the protocol either.
