She's a totally liability. She's a terrible girlfriend, and she has an inability to feel empathy.
What really annoyed me with her this season was when they went to couples therapy and she started crying asking Barry "Why did you leave me?" The entire time, I'm like "Bitch! He had to or everyone else dies." Like I said, The Flash is the only show of this series that I truly care about, but let this #Feminism bullshit continue.....................

Right? I have never really raged at a TV before but I did during that scene. And the whole, "we are the flash" thing is full of utter horseshit. THATS NOT HOW RELATIONSHIPS WORK. You want to make decisions together? Fine. But she wasn't NEARLY as important as Barry was. Like my fucking god. Felicity wasn't this bad in season 4 of Arrow and she was horrible. Laurel was never this bad.. Ever.

#Feminism continues I'll boycott the show completely. I'm all for equal rights, but when you throw logic out the window in favor of SJW propaganda I can't do this shit anymore. The reason why season five of arrow was so great, and the reason why the seasons one and two of the flash were so good were because... Idk. THEY FOCUSED ON THE TITUALR CHARACTER AND DEVELOPED THEM. Oliver got significant development in seasons 1,2, and 5. Hell, he got solid development in season 3, which was a mediocre season of the show. Is it any surprise that seasons 1,2, and 5 were the best seasons of Arrow? Not at all. They were focused almost entirely on him.

Flash seasons one and two had Barry go through significant developments in his abilities in the field and character. Which is why they worked. Season 3 turned Barry into a walking fuckup and made Iris west the absolute worst character in this entire television universe. Season 4 looks like it's going to be an Iris focused season again since for some reason she's been appointed team strategist even though.. SHES FUCKING USELESS.

And don't give me the, "you just hate strong female characters you sexist pig". I don't. Iris West and Felicity are not strong female characters. Laurel was not a strong female character. Hell, SUPERGIRL is not a strong female lead.None of them go through arcs, none of them really learn anything, none of them become better people over time. At least Felicity and Supergirl are useful.

Now, Caitlin is a strong female character. Smart, competent, useful. Has personal demons and problems of her own. Kind, but assertive when she has to be. Even before her powers, she was not someone you wanted to fuck with cause she wouldn't stand for it and would handle it LIKE AN ADULT. She screws up, but she learns from it. She's probably the second best character in show other than Barry, which is how it should be.

Hell, Thea is a strong female lead in Arrow. The writers fuck her character in the ass with how often she ends up in coma(no fault to her own btw). Strong, started out as a weak character, but actually grew into a very likable character who fights her own battles, is a good confidant of Oliver, competent in the field. Hell, Dinah, the new better Black Canary is a damn strong character in her own right.

Iris pisses me off. Fuck her

Same. And that's the thing, these shows have strong female characters. Before I stopped giving a fuck about LoT, Sara Lance quickly became the most important character in the show. While I hated Hawkgirl, Vixen was another strong female character that took no shit from anyone. Plus, her powers made her very useful in certain situations.

I agree wholeheartedly about Caitlin, but here's where I give Danielle Panabaker a boatload of credit: when I watch Killer Frost (another strong female character), I tend to ask myself, "Is that really Danielle or is someone else playing that role?" Of course it's her, but the fact that she has me asking that shows me a lot about her (same goes for Grant Gustin and Tom Cavanagh). Heck, Gypsy, is another one who I wouldn't want to fuck with especially with her father coming after you.

The jury is still out on Joe's girlfriend, but the point is that #Feminism was COMPLETELY unnecessary.

If Sara Lance came out saying #Feminism, Thea would return from the coma and shoot her.. So Sara would be dead.....again. For the third fucking time(what is it with the writers of Arrow using Sara's and Thea's lives as plot devices?).

The Flash does have two very good actors that honestly deserve lead roles elsewhere in Cavanagh and Panabaker... I like Grant Gustin as a person but his flash is akin to Tob Macguire's spiderman.. When he's good, he's great, but when he's not, he's in tears.

But yeah #Feminism is them just shamelessly trying to shove an SJW agenda down our throats...

Not to get too political, but fuck SJWs. I'm obviously against racism, sexism, homophobia, etc. But that doesn't mean that we need to be beaten over the head with it. "Straight white males have are ruining the America.. It was never great for anyone to begin with". That's a stupid claim, ESPECIALLY since this generation of straight, white, men are far and away the most tolerant ever. Not denying history here.. They were awful to women, gays, minorities, in the past.. But you shouldn't punish the present generation for the idiocies of the past. That's just going to piss them off.. The way to get rid of those things forever is through PROPER SCHOOLING/EDUCATION. Don't shove it down our throats. Especially in a TV show where the lead character, the one who the show SHOULD be focused on, is a straight, white, man. Sure, Barry has some feminine/nerdy qualities, but he's not a pushover and is clearly a man. Or, if you want to make a show that's preachy.. CREATE YOUR OWN FUCKING SOURCE MATERIAL.

I think the irony here is that the Green Arrow, a very progressive liberal character in the comics, has the least preachy show between the three major shows(Legends of Tommorow really doesn't count imo. The seasons are shorter and the characters are a lot less interesting outside of Sara and Stein). In fact, Oliver in the series is presented as a moderate, reasonable human being when he is appointed as mayor. There was an episode in season five of Arrow about gun control.. And it handled gun control very well imo. Sure, it clearly favored the liberal point of view of gun control(get guns off the street now), but the thing that the episode did that neither Flash, nor Supergirl has done well at all was IT ADDRESSED THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FUCKING ARGUMENT.. AND GAVE IT MERIT. Oliver at the end of the episode makes a moderate decision on gun control, by passing limited, yet effective regulations.

SJWs and the extreme right(yes... They're just as stupid as SJWs are. Fuck the Tea Party) have fucking ruined the country imo. But SJWs have skull fucked entertainment. Flash's #Feminism episode was honestly the worst episode in the entire show's run. Supergirl is impossible to watch without drinking to blackout because of how fucking preachy it is.

Again, I'm VERY pro equal rights for women, gays, minorities, and I do not condone the actions of racists, sexists, homophobes.. But all of these shows(sans supergirl) have strong female lead characters in Thea, or Caitlin, or Dinah, or Sara, that pass the litmus/sexy lamp(yes.. These are real) tests, who go through arcs and have character growths, and all of them are characters that the lead treats as an equal.. BECAUSE THEY DESERVE TO BE TREATED AS SUCH. THEY ARE STRONG CHARACTERS. Seasons 1 and 2 of flash, Caitlin was a very integral part of the team who went through her own arc and it did NOT always pertain to Barry. Barry rightfully treats her as an equal, but they don't beat you over the head with it. THAT is how you properly promote equality in a TV series. Subtle, but if you analyze it, highly effective. Oliver's second in command is an African American, he has a gay African American as part of his team now as well and they do not beat you over the head with the fact that he is gay. Sara IS the leader of the Legends and is bisexual(which they actually play off as a kind of hilarious joke at times. the whole "I've hooked up with more hot girls than any of you guys" is fucking hilarious).

Fuck SJW propaganda.

And don't get me started on the Tea party either. But I don't have enough booze to talk about them and their archaic policies either.

(what is it with the writers of Arrow using Sara's and Thea's lives as plot devices?)

i think this is an example of hollywood not getting #feminism - because shoving women front and center just to satisfy a quota of female characters is not feminism if they are solely there as plot devices - the industry needs more female characters who arent just plot devices and have their own agency in the stories which obviously these 2 arent

i dont think the problem is #feminism, i think the problem is hollywood's attempts to appease/satisfy #feminism while not understanding that all they are doing is perpetuating their inequality in a different way - i think i said it elsewhere but in a lot of these cases all these producers and showrunners are doing is changing the outfit the plot device women where - rather than being the damsel in a dress and high heels, women now are the "strong" ones in boots with no character trait outside of being "strong" as if that in and of itself is good character building
