collinsworth really just started marvelling about a pitch option play there - saying he's never seen it before... but its like a weekly occurrence in college football and most nfl teams have run something similar at some point this season if they have a qb who is even vaguely a run threat

Seahawks == awful

So many people saying the playoff system needed to be changed because of the NFC East. Obviously Eagles played well enough to avoid a potential 7-9/8-8 division winner hosting a 12 win team. Then the potential irony of how the Seahawks bounced the Saints out of the playoffs as a 7-9 division winner, that a 9-7 Eagles team beats the Seahawks in Philly next week.

the rookie wr class has done pretty well this year - lots of good looking players - who've ended up in good places for their schematic fit:

AJ Brown
Terry McLaurin
DK Metcalf
Hollywood
Deebo Samuel
Diontae Johnson
Mecole Hardman
Darius Slayton

doesnt even include miles sanders who as a rb has enough receiving yards that he would rank in the top 10 as a wr statistically

Collinsworth did it again . He named a few teams the niners played and said they are so fucking battle tested. Ah really, we played more battle tested teams than they did and beat every one of them.

The Seahawks just aren't the same Seahawks we all remember being so dominant at home.

when your points margin for the season is as small as theirs is with a record as good as theirs is it suggests that they are playing lots of close games (or they are getting blown out by some teams) - and if a team is playing that many close games and has that sort of record then it suggests that their record is probably a bit flattering because it doesnt matter how "clutch" you are eventually those sorts of statistical anomalies even out a bit and they somewhat come back to the mean

when the margin is so small the impact of luck becomes more significant

Is Lockett faking the injury? It looked like nothing happened to him, he mouthed something to another player then laid his head back down to sell being injured.
