WR/RB Thread

Collins in 2nd year. Believe we have control of him for a couple more at reasonable salaries thru restricted status. Jensen is gonna be the tough one and the only ufa I'm concerned about.
Huh - I guess I don't understand how this works. I would have assumed Collins would have been UFA, but that will be good news if he is restricted.

With the new cba I believe you have to have 4 yrs of service under your belt to be free to leave on your own.

After last night and the way he’s played all season I have a feeling the front office won’t give him the chance to leave

collins is on a 1 year deal.

he will be a restricted FA and the way he is playing he should be getting a high tender.

with less then 10 mil cap space, only 49 players under contract and the draft , id prefer the ravens make jensen and collins the priority.

I agree but there are cuts to make. Ravens won't get a crack like this again!! Lot of WRs on the market with legit WR1 skill sets. And a chance to sign them b4 a breakout season. Except Robinson. Who broke out in 2015 but coming off injury. Already partially coached up and flashed at NFL level. As opposed to a rookie you will be at scratch. You actually have NFL tape on these dudes. I like Robinson and Marqise.

My favorites would be Allen Robinson and Landry.

In my opinion Landry is to limited. I would like him if we have a complete receiver opposite of him like Robinson. However In my opinion one trick pony receivers have held the offense back from becoming a top5 offense. It's like we have a big play speed dude but that's all he is good to do and limited possession weapons like TE's and older receivers. But never a complete receiver that wins on every level that commands attention, keeps opponents guessing and frees up space for his teammates. Robinson is the dude!!

And Marqise hasn't completely broke out yet but late last season with a terrible OLine and bad QB play he was their best receiver and actually outplaying Robinson and winning on every level. He really fronted that with consistent QB play he could be a NO.1 as well. But you would have to prefer Robinson cuz his size doing all those things makes him that much complete.

players that you cut need to be replaced and preferable by players of similar or better talent.
you spend everything on 1 receiver, you will be downgrading on every other position.

you are getting weaker and not stronger lol.

we are not a receiver away from a top 5 passing game.....

rather upgrade the o-line tbh.

Exactly my thought. You improve the oline, everything about the offense improves.

What would you do to the upgrade the offensive line? In my opinion, I think we really only need a RT. We can get that in the draft. Alex Lewis and Yanda come back next year. We’ve just been decimated in the trenches on offense, but I think we can draft can fix that in the draft. I really like Jensen and Skura

I keep reading articles about how Alex Collins doesn’t provide anything in the passing game, but I’ve seen him catch balls out of the backfield. I just don’t think he gets a chance with Buck Allen on the roster. We need to feed Collins any way we can. Give him 20+ touches and target him more in the passing game

Lewis isn’t a good fit as a guard. Would be much better as a RT. That being said I’d draft Quinton Nelson, g or McGlinchey tackle or even Connor Williams tackle. That immediately improves both your starters and backups. I believe having Nelson sets you up for the future best by having a Yanda replacement if there ever was one. We would also have one of if not the best interior OL in the nfl.

True. Lewis would provide excellent depth. Curious how the front office feels about him. Nelson is really a must-draft prospect to be honest.

Resign Jensen and then see who is in FA to fill the RT position.

Draft depends on the flow.
There is no guaranteed that 1 will be there when you pick and im not a fan of reeching.
Im sure as hell dont want to spend a 1st rounder on a RT.

Also depending on who we cut i dont want to downgrade at those positions.

So basicially spend the cap on the Jensen and then try to get as much quality that you cut back and then if there is something left try to get a WR.
