WR/RB Thread

More fun stats. The Ravens have the second worst YAC average in the NFL.

That doesn't matter cuz what does the head coach say?? A players character is 3 times as important as his skill level. So as long as the receivers are of good character and tries hard and sings loud in the choir he doesn't need a bunch of yac to define himself. He doesn't need to be a dynamic playmaker

Do Dixon and West have roster spots next season? I’m really liking this three man rotation of Collins, Buck and Woodhead. No need to change it unless someone gets injured.
Dixon is much better than Buck. His yards after contact was 2nd in the league last year.

We need at least two of these next offseason.

Moore looks like he could be a #3 WR/deep threat though. But seriously, as bad as Maclin was last game he has another year on that contract of his. We'll likely keep him. Go get us an Allen Robinson in FA and then a Courtland Sutton type. We...need...firepower. And all three of them would compliment each other well as well.

RB? We are fine. A three headed rushing attack of Collins-Dixon-Woodhead is a scary proposition. Maybe take a scat back round five to inevitably compensate Woodhead for injury.

And he's just ask skilled as a reciever too. Him in a backup role is a dangerous proposition that should, in theory, reduce his risk of injury. He's a more powerful version of Buck who does not go down after first contact and makes the first person he comes across miss. He's literally the perfect compliment to the more explosive Collins and would make our rushing attack next season even more dangerous than it possibly is now.

At this point I would activate Perriman and sit Maclin, couldn’t be any worse. Also thinking they cut him next year and eat the $2.5 mil. in dead money.

I pulled for signing Maclin over Decker. Boy was I wrong.
I wanted Robert Woods here badly. However, I was pounding on the table for Kenny Britt and...yeah...We've seen how that has turned out for Cleveland.

I still think we should pay up for a WR. Demaryius Thomas will be in play this offseason, I would love to see us be aggressive and get him here.

I tried telling everybody here, friends, family, work. He was cut and available so cheap for a reason. And only the truly Desperate WR needy teams pursued him. KC is deep with young playmakers. Receivers that could start here are only part time players there. I do think Moore could continue to get better and eventually be a NO.2 but it is far from a guarantee. So yes at least one legit playmaker is needed. Somebody with potential to be a bonafide NO.1 is needed. Marqise or Robinson will be available. Paul Richardson will be available. I don't want Graham he is turning 31 I believe. Watkins has loads of untapped potential and will be available. A sleeper I like is Jeff Janis. I would steer clear of Devante Adams. He is inconsistent even with Rodgers lol. Could even entertain a trade. I really like Tyler Boyd and Keenan Allen. although Allen is untradable.

Thomas is so overrated. He hasn't been the same since manning's arm faded and he has lost a step. He gets little separation and for all his size he isn't helping those young QBs. Allen Robinson is a better option in my humble opinion

I think he's in an awful situation with a revolving door at QB. I don't think there are a lot of people who would do that much better in his situation. I would love to have him here.

Well, we were desperate and got the shank. A friend of mine in KC told me after we signed him that he was made of glass and often just disappeared. I wanted to think that new scenery would turn things around but he is much worse now than ever. Big bustaroony right there.

i can see us keeping 4: Collins and Woodhead as the primary options, Dixon can spell as a change of pace and an option to both pass/run and then buck allen as short yardage and another change of pace guy who will play special teams too and is safe in the passing game

i think the number 3 rb spot is between dixon and allen and if dixon wins it allen still can make the roster through special teams which im ok with

You could be 100% correct. But shouldn't take that chance when we could get a younger faster more athletic receiver same price maybe cheaper. Thomas looks extremely slow. And great WRs make plays whoever is playing QB. And Simien is competent. Sanders has good games. And Robinson played well with Bortles. Helped Bortles to 35TDs and nearly 5000 yards.

Why dont we have camp in the slot? i feel like he is the only wr that can get YAC. We have a lot of holes to fill thos offseason! Where tf have our TE been? like can we not draw up plays for them or something?

siemian looked competent in 4 games this year - in all the rest he looked like the worst qb in football and thomas has had qb play of the lowest quality for most of this year (the first 3 games aside)...

and great wrs dont make plays whoever is playing qb - even antonio brown disappears sometimes when big ben isnt the qb... mike evans, aj green, ty hilton, dez bryant etc. all suffer when they dont have good qb play servicing them

the only wr in the league who consistently plays well no matter what level of qb play he gets is Deandre Hopkins...

yeah i dont understand this either - we arent putting him on the field for enough snaps until we get injuries or on very special occasions and yet he moves the offence in a positive direction and runs nice routes

Robert woods was my guy from day one, big fuck to not go after him. But I was also touting maclin over decker...

I’d take Britt over Maclin rn

That’s what is amazing about Hopkins. He should definitely be in the convo for best WR.
