Those are some expensive chips. 4th rounder and a huge next year contract for player who clearly isn't the half of what he used to be.So Tate and Thomas got traded today......
Texans got Thomas for a bag of chips lol
Coache's film finally came out for the Ravens-Panthers and I watched both Snead PI calls.
The only reason to throw a flag was for arson because Snead burned his man two times with absurdly strong route running. At no point in time did I see anything that resembled PI. He used his hands for hand checking at the stem of his route, but his routes were too clean and he just left his man in the dust. I have no idea how that got called.
I’d rather trade for a RB. I like our WR’s. Collins is nothing more than a change of pace back, and this is coming from one of his biggest fans.I wouldn’t hold my breath on us making a move for a WR. This team is too goddamn cheap for that.
I’m willing to bet we were one of the teams inquiring about LeSean but the asking price was just too high for a 30 year old.Fuck..... this.... team. We are desperate for help to fix this running game and it’s too cheap for that. Either oline or RBs. We are missing pieces and we refuse to make a move.
The guy who not only failed to save the 2 minute warning by taking the touchback but also fumbled the ball away from Aaron Rodgers with 2:05 left to play.PLOT TWIST:
Ravens just traded 2020 7th rounder for Ty Montgomery
dont let him return kicks lolThe guy who not only failed to save the 2 minute warning by taking the touchback but also fumbled the ball away from Aaron Rodgers with 2:05 left to play.
Hooway ravens Sb favorites
I like it. He’s an upgrade over Buck. We really need to sign or draft a workhorse this offseason though.PLOT TWIST:

What I don’t get is that he can have the awareness to make that well known play where he stepped out of bounds and got hands on the ball for the forced penalty(fucking brilliant) but can’t have be awareness to save the 2 minute warningdont let him return kicks lol
He essentially IS buck. Average guy who can churn the legs and earn some tough yards and catch the ball well. His vision and decisiveness between the tackles is slightly better but his raw power to push a pile and drag tacklers isn’t nearly what bucks is.I like it. He’s an upgrade over Buck. We really need to sign or draft a workhorse this offseason though.
Really though, not sure why we did that other than it was cheap. Montgomery isn’t gonna change anything, he’s essentially Buck Allen, maybe the coaches think because he changed positions and excelled in one season that he can continue developing but I just don’t see it.
Seems to me like this is just a replacement for one of buck or Collins when one, or both, leave this year
If it's just James or Hurst without anything else there is no question I take James. He was one of my favorite players in the draft. He was overrated but only because he had a record setting cap for a C. He’s an above average and very solid player and I’m not sure he’s elite but he’s very good and has that angry play to him. I think our run game and pass game would both be better with him. You’re right we couldn’t carry him and the WR but maybe we could’ve been more creative with cap hits who knows, but I do think we miss him
Do you think the Ravens would take Hurst again if we somehow knew how it would play out? Just curious to see what you think. I think the real question is would you have taken James over Hurst? I don’t preclude Jackson because I think trading up would’ve still been possible so I am curious to hear how you feel about James for Hurst. It seems Hurst was our target all along to me and that we planned to trade up for Jackson.
When I compared him to buck I did point out that he does more between the tackles, but overall I think he has he same general role, third down back, he can catch and pass protect and runs with power, he just does it better between the tacklesno i dont think its any of those things:
to your last point first - this is a half year rental because he's a free agent at the end of the year so hes absolutely not being viewed as a future replacement for collins or buck
and to call him buck allen is a bit weird - his running style is different and the way he breaks through contact and gets YAC is different - he's less violent as a runner than collins but he also likes running between the tackles more
he's also a good rb off the draw and has shown decent ability in pass pro and obviously came into the league as a receiver
if im honest i think he sees an immediate role and i think he wins snaps off buck and collins
that's probably more of an indictment on our current crop of rbs than it is testament to Ty being any good

True and we can't forget those trade backs did provide some of the draft capital needed to jump back into the 1st and pick Lamar.he was picked 17th so he was only available to us at 16. I loved Derwin James and would have been thrilled if we drafted him, but I also feel Hurst is going to be a beast, Andrews just fell into our lap.
