Sure. I was born in N.J. but raised in both New Jersey and New York (my Dad moved us around a whole lot between the two states) for the majority of my pre-teen years. As a young man, I've always loved the "pinstripes" of the New York Yankees along with their iconic players (back then in the '70s) such as Reggie Jackson, Thurmond Munsen, Bucky Dent, Lou Piniella, etc. And who could forget our manager and owner; Billy Martin and George Steinbrenner? As far as the Knicks or the Nets? I'm not a huge basketball fan (that's my son). As far as the NFL and my selection of the Ravens and not the NY Giants or NY Jets? Well, I use to live down the street from where the Jets practiced at Hofstra University. Never liked them but loved the NY Giants with L.T. etc. However, my mother moved us away from NY down to her home area in Mississippi. After H.S. graduation I joined the Army and then went to Germany and then Texas. I got out in Texas where I became a Cowboys fan for a few years....the lean years when they were 1-15 and then when they won their Superbowls in the '90s. But, there was a college team that caught my eye. The Miami Hurricanes! Man, they were flashy but good and I loved it! That's where I first saw Raymond Anthony Lewis. I watched that young cat and was very impressed with his heart and passion for the game. I waited to see where he would be drafted in '96 to follow his career and to support that team. The newly established BALTIMORE RAVENS! So, I've been on board with the Ravens since then because of Ray. I must admit though that my heart was torn when the Ravens faced the Giants in the Superbowl in 2000. Glad we won of course but, that is as far as my allegiance to the city of Baltimore goes. When it comes to MLB there is only ONE TEAM that will forever have my heart:
