That jives with the initial reports I saw which said it could be a 3 week recovery (which if you include the bye would put him right around the raiders game) - obviously that all got muddied when reports started coming out that he might play vs cinci
 
Hypothetical, could this be our Bledsoe to Brady, Tommy Maddox to Big Ben moment where Lamar lights it up and keeps the job and Joe never gets it back?

Either way this is the most excited I’ve been to watch any non-season opener for a long time
If Lamar lights it up that’ll be awesome
If Lamar does bad I’m still gonna he excited because I’ll have a whole game of Lamar film to analyse and watch and study

I'm actually expecting decent game from Lamar. Lot of talent and athletic ability but what quietly impressed the most since he became a Raven is the level of maturity he's showing since day 1.

its a division game but he's playing the worst yardage defence in football who are coming off the back of successive terrible games on defence - he's set up to have a good game - i hope he performs well
 
Black Adam Schefter on FB shared an article saying the jags were looking to trade Ramsey this offseason, no validity to it but thought I’d share.

Would he be worth whatever they’d be asking?

to many teams he would be - but with the collapse of defensive player value this year, the need on this team to continue to get younger on offence, and the fact we've still got a deep group of young defensive backs i doubt he'd be worth what they'd want for him for us...

it would be similar to a marcus peters type trade situation where a team that thinks its close would take him on and throw in the picks now and eschew any ability to rebuild or refresh talent for a couple of years...

Probably not worth it.. rather us spend our money on pass rushers

I’d offer him a little bit more than what they are asking if they could keep his mouth in Jacksonville

Flacco and Jimmy for Ramsey.

That’s how I see it, the heavy investment on defense ha failed us, try building for the modern nfl.

I prefer pass rush over secondary as well, but more than that I wanna see us invest in the offense. OL, run game, and across the board solid receivers. I’m not worried about a true #1 if we have multiple solid guys we can hit, with lamar im much bigger on: having a real deal workhorse back who can carry it 20 times a week AND catch it, and an OL to allow it all to work, and I love that we have these TEs, because that’s probably the hardest part of getting a lamar led run first offense to work, you can’t do it without two way TEs to hold down the edges and keep the front honest

Doubt it would happen though. They have what should be the leagues best defense which is what will take them to the SB, Blake bortles even on their Ds best day will sabotage games, there’s a good chance Flacco could change that for them, but if they shed Ramsey then that defense they ride on would take a big hit
