The Random Thought Thread

Anyone who wants to discuss the other games today, come to this thread.

This obviously just hunch stuff after week 1 but I'd bet there are very few teams that could legitimately compete for a SB.

Chiefs
Ravens
Texans maybe
49ers
Lions
Eagles maybe

I don't believe in almost any of these other teams.

I agree with the Eagles maybe… they definitely have the talent, but man are they sloppy. Hurts used to protect the ball pretty well but has been pretty reckless with it last year and week 1.

inevitably the bills will sort their shit out by the time we get to december
Packers could be on this list too if Love comes back ok and they still make the postseason

For the NFL's sake and the Browns' sake, I'm so glad that Deshaun Watson contract is looking to be as much of a disaster as we all thought. They're approaching territory that a dude with a $70M+ cap hit is going to be riding the bench for 2-3 seasons if they don't just bite an insane bullet and release him outright.

Watching Zeitler playing like Zeitler for Detroit and knowing we could have kept him for around $5M has really annoyed me.

It wasn't so bad when I thought Cleveland was the plan to replace him - it made sense, you have a draft pick who can do a professional job, may as well get some return on the investment - but Faalele makes it much worse.

the fact that they could have kept baker mayfield and not given up all those picks and been able to go after some big money free agents at key other positions

they could be in a similar position to the lions in the NFC...

I've said it many times, but they deserve everything they're getting after how they treated Baker. Been in that QB hellhole for years and finally got one that not only was somewhat good, but embraced the idea of going to Cleveland and turning that shit around. Obviously Baker wasn't a superstar but that man could have been a Flacco-esque face of the franchise there.

They get exactly what they deserve
