The Random Thought Thread

If it turns out, as some of you indicate, that the organization has known this and done nothing about it, that is going to seriously damage my will to support the team.
But I guess we will see what facts come out before this sordid affair is over

So I think he went a little aggressive.
However, he made some good points:
1. His original argument is that if you had an Olympic podium of QBs, its Mahomes at Gold, and then can interchange Lamar and Allen as Silver and Bronze. And that some would argue that Burrow is in that group, but he doesn't believe so.
2. He's literally missed the playoffs more than he's made it. He's only been in the playoffs 2 of 5 years. Mahomes and Lamar have never missed the playoffs in years where they didn't miss games due to injury/illness, and Allen has made the playoffs six straight years.

Great points. And I always love how everyone’s rebuttal to any Burrow criticism is “at least he went to a Super Bowl”. So did Rex Grossman.

To be fair having help isn't just about pass catchers. It's having a team well built all around to win games. Mahomes, Brady, etc didn't have to throw 5 TDs every game without any mistakes to win. The Bengals are a genuinely awful team as a whole for the way it's been built. The best thing the Bengals could do for that team would be to trade Higgens for as many picks as they can for their defense.

Honestly the Bengals remind me of the Saints during the last few Brees years when he would light up teams and still lose.

While that was true this year in the playoffs Burrow defense forces 2 turnovers per game.
