The Random Thought Thread

if the people who voted on MVP couldn't see from the stats and the film that Lamar Jackson was the MVP, then it doesn't matter whether he won the award or not.

He's our MVP and that's what is important.

Man what a waste of cap space, for 3 frickn' years!

WR Odell Beckham Jr.

The star wide receiver is not on the 2025 roster, nor was he on the 2024 roster. But his 2023 contract included a void year, and, in a team-friendly deal, he restructured it to include two void years to spread out the dead money. That gave the Ravens relief in 2024 when he accounted for $2.767 million. But they can’t spread it past 2025 and will have to pay Beckham the remaining $8.301 million.

chiefs coallition

coalition = refs

Gotcha. Thats what I assumed he was talking about but didn’t think a player would call it out.
Was the “outrage” or “favoritism” with the refs ever this vocalized with Brady and the Patriots? I don’t remember players calling it out and interview questions towards the players (Brady/Mahomes) being so direct regarding the topic.

Their WR and TEs are bad. It is painfully evident how limited they are when you see the Bills play. Just to draw the direct comparison, since the debate is Lamar vs Allen, Ravens have the better OLine, the better RB, the better TE room, and the better group of WRs. Outside of the OL I would say none of the position rooms on offense are even close.
Bills have the better O line, Allen was barely sacked all year and Cook was the 3rd best RB this year. Shakir leads in YAC I think. Andrews is our good TE, the guy that chokes every year

I thought last year was the last void year, damn. Good for one just ok catch a game then he’d be hurt and be done the rest of the game. Was just weird overall

Losing to the Raiders hurt bad, but so did losing to the Browns. Raiders was almost squarely on the defense, but the offense was all out of sorts against the Browns. And unfortunately, that happened to come as Josh Allen was finding his groove with the Bills.
But Winston in the end did what he always does, throws INTs and he tried so hard to hand us the game. The 2 INT drops were elementary , defense gets the blame

For all this talk about the NFL rigging games for the Chiefs..... it sure does seem a bit odd that it has essentially taken over the talk of the town basically. Seen several YouTube videos discussing it, whether the NFL is rigged, fixing games, etc. Even Pat McAfee was talking about it on his show, I know the NFL and the Refs association have come out and denied all this but it's crazy that the NFL has let this become a thing. If Chiefs win, it's only going to get louder.

Obviously it might take a while, but realistically how long until a Tim Donahue situation actually breaks and shakes the NFL to its core?

Just having one of those games back changes the whole dynamic of that Bills playoff game. The game would have been in Baltimore, we would have been the 2 seed. It's likely we clinch the division prior to Week 18 meaning Zay likely doesn't play and doesn't get injured. Meaning Zay is available for the Bills playoff game, and Buffalo has to come to us. It's likely we win that game and go on to a rematch against the Chiefs and maybe even win it and are playing Sunday in a rematch against the Eagles.

If we won the Browns game the Bills wouldn't have rested their starters in the last week and would have easily beaten the Pats.

It was also an 'appease Lamar' signing
Wasn’t it between Odell or Hopkins? Why tf did we go with the former?

I don't know about letting the defense off the hook for that Browns game. Jamies Winston had his best game of the season that day and he was awful this season. I mean, when it comes to Eddie Jackson, you know you're front 7 is blitzing, and you're caught flat footed against someone running an over route? Not to forget about those dropped INTs. I think the defense lost us two games this season.
