The Random Thought Thread

Ferguson is proving me DEAD wrong and I’m happy for that. He’s been really good on this stretch

With the right offseason, which includes some weight loss training, and refining some spots like edge discipline and backfield vision, he could become a very, VERY good 3 down edge guy, I’ve been really encouraged

You thought I'd forgot about your master plan, huh? Remember this shit?

Don't know where if I mentioned this here or another thread, but for all the shit we were giving Ozzie, look at this.

Defense

Pierce UDFA
Williams 3rd round
Wormley 3rd round
Judon 5th round
Ferguson 3rd round
Onwuasor UDFA
Clark 6th round

All starting DBs outside of Clark are 1st round picks.

Offense

Stanley 1st round
Bozeman 6th round
Skura/ 6th round
Yanda 3rd round
Brown 3rd round
Andrews 3rd round
Hurst 1st round
Boyle 5th round
Ricard UDFA
Hollywood 1st round
Gus UDFA

Lamar was an Ocean 11's heist at 32.

Another move I'll credit is Vedvik. He flipped an UDFA kicker and a 4th round LB into Peters. In his last draft he got us 5 players who are starting this year and another who would be contributing heavily if not for injury. He's redeemed himself for missing out on Rodgers and drafting Boller. That man entered and left with a bang!

Skura was UDFA

Now I'm ready for the rest of Lamar Jackson's games. I purchased a 75" Samsung 8K. Even though there is very little 8k content available, except for maybe youtube, it makes everything look so much better. So much more depth and the deal I received I couldn't leave it on the table. Incredible!

If Lamar wasn't already in my man cave, he will be now.

This organization is on fire. Top to bottom. FO, scouts, coaches, players ... everything is clicking, everything they touch is gold.

Look at the moves we made this offseason. Yes, tough to say goodbye to an all-timer and spiritual leader like Suggs, a captain like Weddle, a rock like Mosley. We let other teams fight with money over Bell. That's cool. How about this guy named Ingram? Get him for a fraction of Bell's price and Bell only has a fraction of Ingram's heart. Earl Thomas - the captain that Weddle was, but with a bit more left in his step. Losing Z was really the toughest - but we're banking on Judon and he's coming through.

Even with those moves, we still had struggles. We shore up the ILB spot with guys like Fort and Bynes. Low cost options that still improve us significantly. Then, there is Peters. Combining him and Smith's return, we've back to where we thought we'd be at the start of the season at CB, before we lost Young. Clark is taking over Jefferson's slot nicely.

Even when we lose Pierce for a couple games ... we go out and get another couple low cost options that fill in ... very nicely.

Really give me a good feel for our personnel operation, from EDC on down and the coaches to get them on point.

Let's keep this thing rolling.

I hope we get the Thanksgiving night game next year, whether against the Steelers or whoever, as we can't play Dallas on Thanksgiving since they come to Baltimore.

If Mekari continues to play the way he did we wont need to re-sign Skura, admittedly he did make a lot of progress but that was from being a practice squad level turnstile to a league average center with replacement level pass blocking ability.
