The Random Thought Thread

They never have denied requests for interviews and I doubt they start now.
Yeah that’s not gonna happen. There was a time when teams had to wait to interview coaches who were in the playoffs. In a selfish way I wish that were still the case. I just think there is unwanted distraction for playoff teams.

You just know Roman is gone. He will have his pick of teams after the season. I'd be shocked if he is still a Ravens coach after the interviewing process.
I don't think he will take the Browns job though.

It’s the cost of success in the NFL. The human side of me is happy for him, the fan side of me says: go f... yourself Roman! Lol, j/k

Watching a run down of next year’s draft order I was reminded that squealers gave up their first round pick for Fitzpatrick. yes

The Browns are the only team thus far that has requested an interview. Other teams have named up to 3 or more candidates and did not include Roman.

The Cowboys and Jags are yet to announce. I don't know that he is going to fit the Cowboys profile. I anticipate they are going for a brass ring type hire (perhaps Meyer). Jags certainly could offer, if they indeed part ways with Marrone.

Is it possible that Roman gets hired away? Certainly a possibility but far from a foregone conclusion.
